Not sure at this moment. When I pause the dryer for under 1 minute and resume the time left always drops down to 5 minutes left when I usually have 35-40 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dryer takes no time to dry clothes. I washed my bedding and it dried it completely in one cycle. I love it!

I really like my new dryer except when drying a quilt. It rolls it up into a ball and then it doesn't dry completely.

I love that the dryer alarm reminds you a couple of times that the load is dry. Good idea! Why did GE not apply this to my new matching washer?

I love the features this dryer has. I also like the way it performs. It’s powerful yet Fenton your clothes. The speed dry is an awesome feature. It also has a very large capacity. Now, what I don’t like. The filter is in the basket with the clothes so, if you do a large load whatever is setting against the lint filter will have lint and hair on it. Not great for pet owners. The worst thing about this dryer is how loud it is. You can literally hear the belts turning in this thing. Not super loud but, loud enough to annoy you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
