Don’t buy.

These things suck. I bought it at the end of 2018 and had it about three years now. Mine quit heating and now it needs a heating element. To my surprise, the warranty just ran out and now I’m going to have to spend enough money to buy a new dryer to fix this one. Stay away.

I guess there's a reason the warranty is a limited one-year. Barely three years in and it makes a horrible grinding noise when on, then cuts off after a few minutes. Our GE days are over.

Thank you for connecting with us! We’re so sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your dryer. This is certainly not the experience we expect or wish for our consumers to have.

The one-year warranty is designed to grant the most coverage during the times when a unit is most likely to experience issues. Typically, when a unit fails because of a manufacturing defect, this happens well within the first year of operation. Because of this, we highly recommend scheduling service with a GEA technician which you can do by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by visiting this page found on our website: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

Additionally, we would like to thank you for your dedication to our brand over the past few years. We would not be where we are today without the love and support of our consumers; therefore, we hope that you find satisfaction in your next dryer.

We hope that there will be an opportunity in the future to regain your trust in our brand, and we look forward to hearing from you. All the best – Matthew@GEA

You know you're officially adulting when appliances made you weak in the knees and the task doesn't fill you with dread. The control panel is user friendly with oh so many ways to customize the cycle. Noise is minimal and haven't had any issues with performance.

Automatic dry settings leave clothes too damp.
on January 2, 2023

This is an ok dryer. Supposedly it is designed to leave clothes less than bone dry for protection of the fabric or something. Problem is, all the automatic dry settings leave the clothes too wet. We have to use manual settings to get out clothes dry enough to put away. Otherwise, the will mold.

Hey there! Thank you for connecting with us! At GE Appliances, we strive to deliver the highest quality products and services that meet every need of our consumers; however, we understand that there is always room for improvement. With this said, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this drying issue has caused you. This is certainly not the experience we wish for our consumers to have, so we’ll be happy to help you troubleshoot this.

If your clothes are still damp after using the automatic dry, there may be a couple of reasons why this is happening. First, check to see if your load consists of heavy and light fabrics. When combining heavy and light fabrics in a load, we recommend choosing the “More Dry” feature to ensure a proper dry. Second, your exhaust system may be blocked or improperly connected. For more troubleshooting advice, we highly recommend checking out page 12 of your dryer’s “Use and Care Manual” which can be found here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90536-3.pdf&_ga=2.54785647.513903715.1672755431-220349868.1668719408.

We hope this information is helpful, and if you ever need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us. All the best – Matthew@GEA
