Stopped Drying

Poor lint trap design

Not happy with the dryer at all. Lint trap is too small, only the tiniest of pieces actually make it in to the trap. We have pets and with pets, you get hair. Pet hair will cluster around the outside of trap but is too large to be sucked in. Consequently, when you open the door to remove a load, all lint/hair that didn't make it in to the trap will either fall out on to the floor or fall back in to the dryer all over the clean clothes. And because the lint trap is located in the base of the door casing, there's no way to avoid it. Every time you dry a load, be prepared to vacuum as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Failure after 4 months

We purchased this dryer on 8/21/2021, the dryer drum seems to have come out of alignment and making a loud scrubbing sound,

Fire Hazard

Worked great for about a year and a half. Could smell a burning smell coming from it and the heating element went out and the purple wire connecting to it was completely fried in half. Could have burned our house down. Seems like many are having this issue after 2-3 years. GE appliances have gone down in quality

Back where I belong. With GE!

I bought this dryer to replace one that I bought in Jan 2016. I broke my back a week later and didn't realize what a lemon I had purchased (at twice the price). When I realized how long it took to dry it was past the 30 day period to return it Couldn't get any help so I bought this GE which I love. Gave the other dryer to friends. I did tell them how dissatisfied I was with it but they needed it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Failed 2 Days After Warranty Expiration

I dryer failed after just over one year. Cost to repair exceed the value of the dryer so we had to buy a new one.
