Extremely quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just did an entire kitchen renovation and this was one of the appliance I got. When I say it's quiet I mean you don't know it's even running it's so quiet. I love how the buttons are ontop. I have a two year old who just loves buttons and would constantly turn on off the old dishwasher. This one he can no longer do it. I love the look and everything about it.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use

Quiet dishwasher

Does the job well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our 12 year old previous dishwasher of another brand when it finally failed. We have other LG products and liked the specs on this dishwasher. It is quiet, easy to use and cleans well. I had hesitation about the manual-clean filter, but that is neither frequent nor difficult. The rack arrangement takes some getting used to and the space is limited for taller items in the middle rack. The angled side rack areas are more difficult than the flat ones I was used to. The collapsing rack tines are a good idea but sometimes collapse too easily. Wine glasses for example have to be steeply angled to fit and the adjustable tines help with this. The top rack is more useful than I expected but takes some space away from the middle rack i.e. tall glasses. All of these things are fairly minor and we are getting used to them. It operates very quietly, a must for us, and cleans dishes very well.
My only complaint/suggestion is that the top controls have only a ring backlight indicating a selection. The buttons do not backlight to help read the function. That makes it difficult to read even in moderate light or through fingerprints. I have to memorize positions of most used settings or use a flashlight rather than just look and select.

I loved this dishwasher, the Steam clean feature was awesome when I put my most grimy plates near it, they were sparkling clean! I use Steam Clean for every Cycle, and I ran my washer 3 times a week (on Average!)
June 5th will be my 6th month owning it, and it will also be the 4th week it has made non-stop whistling during the Wash Cycle. It isn't the Water Pressure, as I've turned it off during the wash cycle and it still whistle and it's not the drain cycle either. How could a part start to fail this soon into use?
This item is the most expensive appliance in my home and I wanted to slowly purchase my appliances up until the new kitchen was build. I thought I was safe to assume that because it was such a high end brand that I would get at least 7 to 10 years before parts started failing. My LG Fridge is over 8 years old and hasn't had a problem once.
I am extremely sour from the experience as it took an extremely long time for me to personally go through with spending so much money on a machine. I just want this fixed, or I want it returned. It makes me cry thinking I threw away so much money for something like this.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Dishwasher I've EVER Had!!

Believe me, I've gone through my share of dishwashers, but hands down, this one is the best! I will admit this one was the most expensive, but not that much more, and I am sure I will have this one for quite some time. The dishes ALWAYS come out clean, no matter how crusty they go in. I love the 3rd rack feature, the adjustable rack and all the options for fold-down tines, which gives you many options for odd/oversized items. Be sure to keep the filter clean and you won't go wrong. This is a wonderful dishwasher and I'm sure as I need to replace other items in my kitchen, LG will be the first things I look at! LOVE THIS DISHWASHER!!!!
Oh, one more thing, it is EXTREMELY QUIET, you'd never even know it was on!!!

By far the best dishwasher I've ever owned. It was so quiet, we had to check if the dishwasher was actually running the first time we turned it on. The only time we heard ANYTHING was when the water was draining. More importantly, the dishes are superclean and with the Steam and Steamplus settings you have the opportunity to wash glassware [with steam] at the same time as pots and pans [Plus]. Being able to protect crystal glasses is a real bonus as I have usually had to wash them by hand and they were frequently spotty. We really use the small 3rd rack a lot for our smaller utensils and or knives. The adjustable racks give us so much versatility in being able to accomodate odd-size dishes. All in all this is one spectacular dishwasher. I have nothing, and I mean nothing bad to say about this dishwasher. The only recommendation I have to the reader is to stop reading this and go out and purchase your own LDF807ST dishwasher. I promise you will not be disappointed.
