First Galaxy - Galaxy S6 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is my first venture into the Galaxy product line. It's not my first experience with Samsung phones, or with other Samsung products. So far I'm quite pleased with the phone and its quality, something I've come to expect from a Samsung device.
The Galaxy S6 Edge is a sleek, stylish phone. The white, glossy exterior is wrapped in silver and finished off with chrome trimmings. It's thin and astonishingly light, which considering what the device is housing is really quite remarkable. The processor is capable of running multiple apps at once, including in split screen, with no hiccuping or noticeable delay. Not only are the apps running at full speed, but they are displayed in beautiful colors thanks to the powerful display. The phone comes with the latest version of Android, which i'm only now beginning to explore. I only have two, maybe three complaints about the phone, which unfortunately are the result of the phones Edge namesake: the wraparound screen. Currently, the wraparound display can only be activated by swiping that portion of the screen and is sometimes pretty finicky with registering your motion. It can also only be turned on permanently at certain hours of the day and these hours are pretty limited in how far they can be adjusted. The information displayed is also currently pretty minimal. You are capable of seeing notifications from certain, designated individuals, as well as time, date, battery level and weather information. Samsung will need to improve this feature of the device for it to really be a marketable feature. Last complaint: the wraparound screen also makes holding the device pretty frustrating. I feel like the phone is going to fall out of my hand and sometimes the phone will register my grip as touching the screen, resulting in unnecessary and unwanted input.
Overall, I'm really pleased with the phone. It's a very powerful, capable phone. I just want more out of the Edge wraparound display and hope Samsung has plans for future functions.
Loving the new phone..Charges super fast because I am always using up my battery life..easy to use..love the features..it's loud and I LOVE the camera.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall a great phone, however it lacks a few features I'd expect such as being able to hide app icons in the drawer. Also, the flipboard homescreen could be improved, but overall the phone is great.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love This Phone!

Love pretty much everything about this phone! As with all new phones, there are a few MINOR bugs that I am sure they will be fixing. One is that the figure print reader still comes up occasionally even though I am in my home which I have marked as a safe location. I must say that the finger print reader is very accurate! Using the wireless charger, if I set it on the charger when I go to bed, it will charge to 100% very quickly, but apparently will not kick back in as the phone uses battery after charging has stopped. This means that in the morning, when I pick up the phone, it says it is only about 90% charged. No big deal, as I simply put it back on the charger for just a few minutes to get it back up to 100%. LOVE the fact that I don't have to plug the phone in to charge it!
The camera quality is absolutely beautiful !!!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, best camera out there!
Cons: too many preloaded apps
I would recommend this to a friend!

Did have one problem in that the notification light started flashing all the time instead of just when there was a message, whatever. Samsung support was helpful, except that they suggested a factory reset, just when I had gotten everything set the way I wanted it. But, other than that, I'm very happy with my phone!
I have 0 complaints or issues with the phone thus far. I had a GS3 before hand and its a weird switch but I am already used to it. The features are wondeful and the camera is incredible. I tell everyone to upgrade to this, even the HEATHENS that use iphones.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, camera is beautiful.
Cons: could be a decepticon maybe
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really fast phone

The galaxy s6 is a very fast phone when it comes to gaming, which of course every teenager out there needs. But it also has a problem with the charging of the phone. Most users with continuously use their phones until the battery dies, and then want to keep using after. With the s6 it has a more powerful charger that heats up the phone very quickly while charging, but that is just if you want to leave it to charge. Most people want to continue to use their phones while being charged, but this makes the phone even hotter. I do like the non-removable back because it eliminates the back from being lost, but I also dislike it because it makes the screen easier to break. When the back falls out, it absorbs the shock from hitting the ground. Not having a micro sd slot is also a pain. I do like the "hello galaxy" feature though. I would recommend this phone to a friend because of its features and speed, great buy for a teen.
