Weak Motor

I like the blender, and the smoothie jar is really convenient, but when blending, it vibrates incredibly loudly and sounds terrible. Many times I can smell burnt plastic. Now, after 2 months of making about 2 smoothies a week, the motor is noticeably weaker and can barely blend a smoothie. I haven't treated it roughly or anything; only blended fresh and frozen fruit. Bit disappointing.

plastic base cracked and broken

we bought this on sale at target about 4-5 months ago, i started to notice cracking along the plastic base but thought nothing of it until it kept getting worse, now we can't use it at all, it is cracked, broken, and leaking. we used this blender 1-2 times daily, can't believe it is already broken, and i have looked high and low for a replacement and i type in the model number and it only gives back other items. i would love to get a replacement piece.

Can't find replacement parts

We have owned this blender only 3 months. When reassembling after washing, the thin plastic piece on the ring base broke off and we are unable to find a replacement part anywhere on Black & Decker website. I put in the model # but it only wants to replace power tool parts.

Breaks within days, and can't be fixed

During the two days it worked, it was fine. The glass pithier makes it very top heavy. The slightest bump and it fell over. The small plastic piece that seals the bottom broke. I search sand could not find a replacement part anywhere. I went to the store where I bought it and thedisplat model had the same broken piece. Soemone must have breathed on it. it was a waste of money and I am not very happy about it. Won't buy any more products from this company. I had to give it one star, because zero stars is not an option.

This blender does a great job but now I am looking for parts the BL1820. The plastic base around the jar cracked and so did the little plastic middle piece on the lid - only 6 months old ! I don't even put in dishwasher so not sure why they cracked !

Solid Blender But Did Not Last

We have had the 1820 for a little over a year, but the plastic base has cracked (which I fixed wth super glue) and just today the gear that connects the blade to the base just broke today and is unrepairable.

Love it... until the plastic base broke

I brought this blender like 8 months ago, and keep aside as I have another one on use, 2 months ago we start using this one, and saddly look like we all have the same problem..... the plastic base crack, then just part away, so now I can't use my blender...... I don't know why the use cheap parts on a big blender......

Had this blender for about a year and it's worked fine. That is, until the plastic attachment that connects the jar to the base cracks. Blender is useless without this piece, so you need to find a replacement part, which is no longer in stock according to Black and Decker/Spectrum. It seems based on other reviews I'm not the only one dealing with this. Is there anyway to get this part, or am I looking for a whole new machine ?
