Lid broke after 1 month. Other than that it worked fine. Going to call the manufacturer to see about getting a replacement lid.

So we received our new coffee maker and it was missing one crucial element. The unit was all wrapped in protective film, but one thing was missing... one most crucial thing. The brew basket, that makes--making coffee possible. There is nowhere online to request one, so now I have to try and get someone on the phone during normal business hours. Sad for Christmas...

Horrible product. Overpriced.

This is a horrible product. 1. It makes very weak coffee. When I try to put in the same amount of grounds as my previous maker, it overflows and I have a cup full of grounds. 2. The coffee does not stay warm. Within an hour of the pot being made I have to heat up each cup in the microwave. 3. Overpriced. I have an undrinkable product. Not worth any time or money.

DOES NOT KEEP COFFEE EVEN WARM

If I could write this review without stars I would. I am used to HOT coffee. Within 30 minutes of brewing the coffee in the urn goes warm. After 45 minutes I have to pour the coffee in my cup then reheat in the microwave. After purchase I noticed how cheap the lid is and have been very careful fearing it will easily break. Have not had any leaks ..... yet. Black and Decker, do you have a replacement urn that will keep coffee HOT? I will be posting this review on any site that sells this product.

I bought this coffee maker last Saturday and I like it, except for the fact that liquid sets in the brew basket after it's done brewing. This happens all the time and it's a big mess trying to dispose of filter and grounds. Is there a reason for this? Otherwise, it makes good coffee and keeps it hot enough for me. I like the stainless pot and the ease of cleaning. Would not recommend due to the mess created with the filter and grounds. Would also have liked the clock to be lighted.

Lid Broke

I love the stainless steel carafe, but that's about it! The lid and switch feature broke after less than six months, the way the water poors into the basket causes the filter to crumple, causing coffee grains to poor into the carafe... Occasionally the lid gets stuck and coffee cannot enter carafe, causing coffee to overflow and spill onto the counter! Very unhappy with operational quality of this coffee maker, however I like the sleek, stainless steel design... Wish there were more replacement parts offered for this maker, with the defectiveness of the lid parts, they would come in handy...

Leaks!!

Within a week of purchasing this coffee maker, we had three incidents with the lid leaking. Coffee would not enter the pot through the lid and it went all over the counter and floor. I really like the design, the quality of the brew and the insulated carafe, but this one is going back to the store!

Shuts off after brewing one cup!!

I purchased this coffee maker on 11/2014 and was so happy to have found a 12 cup thermal carafe for such a great price. However, today it took all day to brew 10 cups. Like another user, it continued to shut off after brewing only one cup and the 4 cupk feature was not on. I looked for assistance on the website and found all the leaking, lid and spilling problems, so I feel very lucky that mine lasted about 9 months, but that is not a good price then :( In all fairness, this coffee maker worked fine until today, without leaking or breaking part problems and keeping coffee hot for hours.
