Great except for the lid

I love the size and simplicity of this machine and the insulated carafe. Once I figured out how to keep this coffee maker from overflowing (it is very picky about grind size so I switched from my regular brand to Gevalia, which works well), I loved it so much that I bought a second to use at my Mom's. When her carafe lid broke I assumed that she had been hard on it, but mine is starting to work erratically and I really baby it. I have looked into buying replacement lids but they are unavailable. When I started my search, I saw that tons of people are having the same problem. Please, Black and Decker, improve the design of this otherwise great machine.

Good Hot Coffee But lid ?

I have enjoyed my Black & Decker coffee pot. It is the Thermal Programmable 12 cup (cm2035b)one. I have had it for over a year . It will not pour out the coffee nor accept the water to go in to make the coffee. It is the lid. The Thermal pot is Great,but not the lid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The worst thing I've ever bought

I don't really write reviews for products but this thing has given me so much grief I felt compelled to warn others.
Within a month the little button/lever to open the spout on the carafe lid broke. I wish I had read reviews before buying this because it seems like almost everyone had the same problem. Within A MONTH.
Next the coffeemaker started to overflow. So we did the whole vinegar cleaning process twice. It worked again for a couple of days but then it would always stop working in the middle of the brew. It would stop brewing before all the water was done. At first I though this was happening because of the 2-4 cup feature but after resetting all the settings I found out it was just the coffeemaker acting up.
So finally we did the vinegar process TWICE MORE and it was working. Guess what happened a couple weeks later? Yup, it's broke again. Now when we brew the coffee comes out cold. How is that possible?
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mom who I live with. Her previous coffeemaker worked for 8 years with no problems before it crapped out. I thought this more expensive black and decker with all the features on it would make it an excellent find for coffee lover. What a huge disappointment. I'm here to warn you! Don't make the mistake I did by purchasing this. I will never buy Black and Decker products again.

Lid broke and it seems like a common problem

We're cleaning the lid and it must have been broke during it. Looking at other people's post, this must be a common problem and poorly designed. Otherwise, makes a great coffee and easy to use. The coffeemaker was used less than 10 times since we've bought it last November.

Major disappointment

I bought the coffee maker on the weekend... four days of making coffee and it stopped brewing about 30 seconds into it. So so disappointed!!! It has discouraged me from every buying a black and decker again!!

I love the coffeemaker but the lid is shot

I love this coffee maker and thought having a stainless steel carafe would save me from dramas of a breaking coffee jug. But, my lid has stopped working after just a few months and now I have to open up the entire thing to pour coffee out. Also, the coffee doesn't stay hot for the period advertised so just not sure if it is the carafe as a whole that has a problem. Disappointed.

Like the concept, but lid has broken

I really like the concept. No hot plate to worry about fires. Double walled thermos style keeps the coffee hot. However, like others my lid has stopped working. Have to take it off to pour my coffee, which of course means, the coffee will not remain hot as long. Must be a design issue.
