Broken in less than five years

HUGE WASHER

We have had these units for 2 months and we can see already that we have less washes. This thing will hold a ton of clothes and is very quiet! We had the older version of these for 9 years from LG and never had a problem so we are return customers. When you buy a product and it works why change?

Great Product, but can't read the control panel

I chose a grey model. The problem is that the printing on the machine is in a thin font, and black. The printing on the control panel is grey on a black background. It is impossible to read the settings to change them. I have to keep a flashlight in the laundry room! I have it set up as stackable, so I have to climb on a stool, with a flashlight, to change the settings on the dryer - not optimal. I think this is really poor design-it should be designed so that it can be read easily - maybe bold printing on the machine, and the words on the control panel light up at once so you can select what you want. The machine does work well.

Excellent wash, but function selection description distinction can be improved in manual.
Also, fast opening/closing water solenoid valves requires solid plumbing lines. On second machine purchase required decreased water flow (or install anti-water hammer unit).

Great capacity & cleaning. Poor lighting panel.

So far, washer seems to be very efficient. Has great capacity and cleaning power. Steam feature on white cycle improves cleaning. I do have a few concerns. The bleach/ detergent/ fabric softener compartments can be awkward to fill, especially bleach. Liquids tend to splatter. I wish drum light would stay on longer for loading and unloading and I wish the ENTIRE control panel would light up to make it easier to read. My biggest issue is NO SOAK CYCLE. Even though you may lengthen the wash cycle by soil level, it is nice to have a soak cycle.

I cannot sing enough praises for this washer! it has exceeded my expectations in term of durability and performance! We have a family of 6, all with either king size or queen bedding. This washer does the job right and quickly as well. I can wash our king bedding and the comforter all in one load! Thanks LG for making a great product!

Need to konw a few things about front loading wash

Machines are flawed in two ways & hopefully this will help you avoid my issues.
One: use powder detergent
Two: leave door open to dry out the washer
Two: leave door open to dry out the washer
If you use liquid or pods your clothes will smell stale as these machines are horrible of getting your desired traits of a washer. The powder detergent & making sure you leave the door open for water to evaporate should help in this problem. I recommend a top loading washer.
