Upgraded older Epson printer

My older Epson R380 photo printer had some sort of glitch, would no longer print. In my search for another Epson printer I found this Epson Expression Photo XP-960 all-in-one printer also uses 6 colors of cartridges, prints onto CDs, prints to different types of paper, including 11 x 17" papers, and has two paper cassettes! On top of that, it is a wireless printer. So it has everything, PLUS additional features as my 'older' printer. I haven't tested it yet, but will very soon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not very intuitive set-up

Most convoluted set-up I have ever experienced. I still can't get the printer to recognize it is connected to the computer. Works fine for printing from the computer, but will not recognize it is connected to WiFi when I want to scan. Troubleshooting questions don't even come close to a solution.

Brand New Printer

Just received my new printer and right out of the box, had a problem. The power cord does not work. Unable to plug it in! Luckily I have the old cord from my printer. If this is the only problem I have, I would increase my rating. Epson must not test the unit to see if it powers up before they ship it. Using the old power cord I was able to install the printer and configure it. Things getting better. Now will have to use the printer and see if I would recommend it!

Expression Photo XP-960

I have always loved Epson quality for printing photos. I really like the feature where I can email the printer and have 4x6 prints waiting. The rear feed is a feature I use all the time. Wish it was a rear-feed only machine. The biggest negative is that I cannot purchase the ink at any local stores. The DVD printing feature is totally not necessary. Never used it on my last printer.

The paper trays are clumsy to work with, actually at times annoying Picture quality is fine, but not better than my Epson 730 printer that this replaced. I bought it because you could use larger paper than 81/2 x 11.
Easy to replace ink.
If 5 stars were to great, my assessment is it is a 3.

So far, so good

Just set up our printer; I must say that downloading onto my MacBook was a no-brainer, I was a bit intimidated to get started. The CD worked great downloading to my husband's laptop. I'm a would-be photographer so the photo printing was important to me. Have not tried that yet. As I stated, "So far, so good!"

Not a workable printer for my purposes. It will not feed paper from the tray and if I print from the back I can only print one sheet at a time-not workable. Printer is not good for my needs.
