New Dishwasher

This dishwasher was in place when I bought the house. The house was a new built. When I tried the dishwasher for the first time, it did not dry the dishes at all. The dishwasher is left with water around the sides and the door, I have to leave it open in order for the dishwasher to dry out so it wouldn't have an order.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the dishwasher, hate the smell!

Remodeled kitchen and added all new Frigidaire appliances. The dishwasher does a nice job of cleaning and I like the third rack but it never dries out and the smell between cycles is awful. What can I do? I use the heat dry - would prefer air dry - but it still doesn't dry enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher was part of a set of Frigidaire smudge-proof stainless steel appliances, a feature that works as advertised. We also wanted one that actually cleaned and dried well, had a third rack for utensils and a stainless steel interior, was quiet, and was reasonably priced. There are not many but fortunately one was the Frigidaire smudge-proof. It has performed well in every area for us. We barely hear it running and we like the green light on the floor that lets us know the dishes are clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have owned for less than a year and have dealt with error codes on a monthly basis, due to pan not draining. Dishes are always dripping with water, even when on heat assisted dry.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sandy68, I certainly understand your dishwasher is not drying properly at this time. I recommend the use of a rinse aid if you are not already using one. Also, check that your water heater is set at 120°F (49°C) to get proper water temperature inside the dishwasher. Lastly, run the hot water at the sink closest to your dishwasher prior to running your wash load. Hope this helps!

Poor bottom rack design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The folding tines in the bottom rack continue to give us problems. The plastic clamps sprung when first purchased, had replaced. Could not put normal dinner plates in that area without them falling down (reviewed manual and this is where dinner plates are suppose to go). Have been using that area for bowls and small plates, now the clamp has sprung again and dishes fall over. This is the worst design of all the dishwashers I have owned, never use the top utensil rack b/c my forks/knives/spoons are too large to fit in grooves, always leaves water even though I use a rinse aid with every wash. It is fairly quiet and I really like the green light showing it is finished and the dishes do come out clean. Can I get a different basket for the bottom? (oh, came with new house purchase)
