LG Tone Ultra

I had the Tone 730 and it was great for the iphone. When i got an android, not so much. So i upgraded to the Ultra and it now works with the android. However, the battery life has dramatically gone down. Won't even last 9 hours now where it used to last almost two days.
The sound and functionality of it are amazing. The bluetooth capability with the phone works amazingly well along with the ease of listening to music or books. A must for all active peoople. But i would get the 730 over this if you have an iphone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my headset a little over a month now and have been very pleased with it. The battery life has been excellent for me. I don't use it every single day, probably 3-4 days a week. I use the Tone and Talk app, so I can send and receive texts, hands free. Overall, I have been very happy with my purchase.

Battery Life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got them a week ago and their supposed to have about 10-20 hours while in use I leave them on the charger for 5 hours and listen to music for like 10-15 minutes and at says, "low battery please charge." So I put them on the charger and the light is red for about 3 minutes (I timed it multiple times) and it goes off so I use them and it says the same thing over and over and it gets really annoying I don't know if it's supposed to do this or not but I'm getting really annoyed with these things.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I asked for the best Bluetooth headset for Xmas!

I did receive the LG Tone Ultra for Christmas and it was the best present ever.
I am a very busy 72 year old lady. I like to talk on the phone but cannot sit still long enough. I also like to talk while driving. When not talking on the phone I love listening to the sound of music on the LG Tone Ultra.
I love that I was able to get it up and working by myself with no trouble. The sound is the best I've heard from a headset. The charge lasts for a very long time. I have only charged mine a few times. I have never had a problem with anything unexpected occurring. My mother is hard of hearing and she has no trouble hearing me when I am speaking into this headset.
I like how light it is and since it is around my neck I am not afraid of it falling off. As an added bonus it is really pretty.
This headset has exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this "LG TONE ULTRA" to others.

Worked for 5 months, until...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple months ago, it worked great, but after a couple months of use the connectivity was getting bad and the sound quality when I switch tabs started to produce muffling music, and the battery life is pretty decent, 8 hours of use, these are pretty good but do not buy if you want a headphone to use for more than a year.

Fake HBS-800

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an early version LGHBS730. I'm happy with it. Than I have just bought HBS - 800 via ebay. It's advertised as Lg HBS-800. Unfortunately the unit its so plasticy and the quality is so bad, not as good as LG has been advertising.
By the way, this is a fake HBS-800. They are so many of them online for sale. I believe It came out from back waters China factory. What ashame. Be aware if you buy anything that not genuine.

Some minor problems

1. The battery life has been excellent for me. I charge it each day after finising the day use. It provides as much power as needed for the time that I use it. I do go to sleep with it on for a couple of hours of music and then it goes to standby the rest of the night. I also may use it for a lot during the day after that before charging.
2. The noise cancellation is a little on the weak side, however, it does work. I use it when mowing the lawn, but I have not had a chance to try it on an airplane.
3. The wires to the ear plugs vibrate in the airflow past your head when you are walking. Perhaps they could be made more sound deadening with some materials changes.
4. The bass response is not great. It not very bad for me because a prefer a flatter response curve. I believe the is a significant amount of cutoff on the bass end compared to other ear buds.
5. The ear buds do not have trouble staying in my ears. I sleep with them on and this works ok.
6. When making phone calls on my ipod with google phone I will get a series of call disconnected messages before the phone starts ringing, just ignore them and everything works ok.
