Fantastic freezer!

I bought this large frigidaire freezer and it is just what we need for freezing meals ahead of time for a busy family. Pretty large, but if you have a basement with a little space, this works great.

Unit Frosts up very quickly

We bought this unit 6 weeks ago and it already needs to be defrosted. The issue is that the lid is VERY light and does not appear to seal well. There are not enough baskets sold with the unit
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

SidDunn, welcome to the Frigidaire family! This is a manual defrost chest freezer. Here are some tips to help you. Frost may tend to accumulate faster on upper part of the freezer due to warm, moist air entering the freezer when the door is opened. To avoid frequent defrosting, occasionally use a plastic scraper to remove frost. Scrape with a pulling motion. Never use a metal instrument to remove frost. Page 9-10 of your model’s Owner’s Manual has some good information on defrosting. Take a visual examination of your gasket (the rubber seals around the doors), checking to see if there is a good unobstructed seal. We do offer more freezer baskets (the 4 that came with it wouldn’t be enough for my family), I have added the link to the bottom. I hope I have helped! Warmly, Ruth

Perfect for our family!

When we moved and left our ancient freezer behind, I knew I needed a large freezer because we freeze a lot of veggies and fruits, plus we often purchase a large quantity of meat. This one is the perfect size for us. I love the way you can organize it with dividers and baskets. Also like how the light shows it's running. And speaking of lights, the interior light is so bright you can really see what you have stored there. Love this product.

Fantastic, Reliable Freezer

I purchased this freezer because we had two Angus/Waygu steers harvested and needed more freezer space than our smaller Frigidare chest freezer. Our smaller freezer has been incredibly reliable so I wanted another Frigidare. This freezer held both steers with room to spare. The organization racks, and baskets make access to the different cuts of meat a breeze.

Great freezer, short dividers

We bought this freezer 3 weeks ago and went with the larger model because we needed more space. Our old freezer went out so we had to purchase this one quickly. It works well and I like the exterior light that shows it is working. The only negative is the short dividers. I agree with a previous review that taller dividers would greatly enhance the organization in this chest freezer. I think that for the amount of money spent on this freezer, Frigidaire should offer to replace these short dividers for a taller option. This would take my review from 4-stars good to a 5 star excellent.
