this is an AWESOME camera! takes high quality shots, is easy to use, and is much lighter than other brands or previous cannon rebels! am so happy with my purchase and use my amazing camera ever day. i would recommend this camera to you if you want to take beautiful shots!

I love the ease of use and the information provided as you switch each control. There's no guess work and the information provided on the screen takes you in the right direction to shooting better photos. I've been practicing and I'm very pleased with the versatility and the results. I would highly recommend this product to budding enthusiasts.

The camera is great except the strap

There is a group called "Meet Up". There all sorts of hobby/interest groups such as photography.
I attended a couple and it was a lot of fun. It was interactive and the instructors remained realistic about the the fact we were all beginners.
My only disappointment is with the strap. Given that all the weight of the camera on the neck, I wish more thought was put into the design. I just think there could be a better way.
But the camera itself is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent DSLR starter

After having just received my Canon EOS Rebel T5 I am totally impressed!! This is my first DSLR camera and I am enjoying it completely. The price for the camera and 2 lenses (18-55mm, and a 75-300mm) was an absolute steal I got the camera, 2 lenses and camera bag for less than I saw the camera alone on most sites!! The camera has a host of options and modes that I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring and testing. The pictures are crisp and the level of definition allows for doing so much with the pictures that I am still learning effects that I never believed possible. The learning curve is amazing as I feel my photography skills have doubled in just one week. I plan on decorating the walls of my house with the pictures I have taken in my local area. I means so much to decorate my walls with pictures of local subjects and landscapes. So many people see the prints and say "Oh I have seen that place, but never in that perspective"!! I am looking forward to taking more and more pictures and learning more effects to use.

I bought this camera last week and I had wanted to upgrade to a DSLR. I am very familiar with canon from borrowing a friend of mines canon mkIII. I think for the price, it's worth it for beginners.

Exited for the end results!

For been my first DSLR camera, I 'm still exited for my purchased!, so one thing I did, went to Valley Of Fire and start shooting many pics, and planning to get more lenses to have the whole package!
