Bring back the old defender case!

I've got an iPhone 6 Plus with a tempered glass protector and the otterbox defender case on it. I don't like the new design. Compared to the defender case I have for my iPhone 4, I could drop that one all the time and doesn't break. But this new defender case design for the iPhone 6 Plus, is way to slim. Yes the old design was thicker and big. That it'll just make the iPhone 6 Plus more bulky. I wouldn't care. As long as I trusted the old design better, that's all that matters.

My iphone 4s is protected by an otterbox--i have loved it for almost 5 yrs. Therefore, upgrading to an iphone 6+ meant i wanted that same attractive protection again.
Unfortunately, the only design and color choice i found attractive in the pics online was hideous in actuality. I will be acquiring a new non-otterbox product to protect my phone.

I bought the first ones made for the iPhone6+ and something changed because it is not the same as my original. Wanted the same one as the first one broke. So I have had to 'remanufacture' it to get it to work. The clip no longer lets me set my phone on it as a stand, either.

I am usually a positive reviewer. While I have no doubt that the Otterbox cover will protect the iphone from a nucelar explosion, it is just too heavy, and too clunky. Also, the screen cover makes it difficult to type on the letters now, so that you have to keep pressing harder to get letters typed. Finally, the opening for the phone jack is covered so that you have to lift up the flap for it everytime you want to listen to your headphones. Bad design flaw.

It’s definitely a fine line between size and protection, and with a device such as yours, the challenge is even greater than with others. We trust that the tradeoff will be worth it in the long run.
Though we appreciate your point of view in regards to the headphone jack, it is intentional in design to prevent dust and debris from entering the port when not in use.
We were definitely most concerned that you’re struggling with the interaction between the case and your phone. The Defender was designed to allow for a smooth experience with your device, and we’d like to help you get that. We would suggest performing a quick reinstallation, placing your device facedown into the screen protector of the case. This should provide a better fit and tactile experience. You will also want to make sure that you’re not using another screen protector on the face of your phone, as this will create pressure on the sides of the lid causing an arc in the center of the screen protector of the case. If the issue persists, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 1-855-688-7269, and we can get you set up for a warranty replacement.
