Missing a ton of features from previous galaxy devices

You want to like this phone. It looks great, has impressive hardware, and some interesting new features, but after using it for about a month I wish I still had my Galaxy s3 back.
First, there is no longer an option to only show contacts with phone numbers in the contacts menu. Which makes it difficult to actually use your phone as a phone!
Second, there is no longer any options to control the LED indicator. You can turn it on or off, but you can't select to have it on for some notifications and not others.
Third, the menu button has been replaced with an absolutely useless recent apps button. This not only makes it easy to accidentally close whatever app you happen to be using, but completely breaks features in one my most frequently used apps.
Finally, you can no longer change the snooze settings on the alarm clock. There is one setting and if that doesn't work, then too bad.
I would recommend the phone if its software wasn't such a clear regression from previous galaxy devices, but as it is now I would recommend that you find a phone with more sensible software.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations, missing features
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loyal but disappointed Samsung customer

I've had pretty much every phone in the Galaxy S series, and I almost left after I heard about the features that were being taken away from this phone- that essentially made it an apple clone. But I stuck with Samsung and purchased my S6 Edge. Out of the box, EXCELLENT phone! I didn't even care about the obviously missing sd card and removable battery options anymore. Love the design, and the whole idea behind the curved features and the accompanying options. However, after having MY FIRST edge for 2 days, the screen rotation option stopped working, the camera was stuck in portrait and took pictures AND VIDEO upside down- the menu buttons also appeared that way. The issue isn't isolated to the camera, you also cannot view web browsers or video in landscape mode. What's the purpose of having this EXTRAORDINARY screen, if I can't view a picture or video full screen? None of the mindless trouble shooting worked, so like several other disappointed people, I swapped it for another one. And guess what? It only took a day for it to malfunction. I don't even know if I want the phone anymore after all of this. If you think this is something small, it's not. Being the kind of phone this is, with the options it supposedly provides, something as SIMPLE as having working screen rotation option plays a huge factor in having the phone. With all of the things we as consumers use our phones for, we should be able to use it for viewing info/photos/and video the way we'd like. I would expect this from Samsung's competition. But not from Samsung. It is a HUGE inconvenience that this will be the 3rd AND FINAL attempt at me replacing this phone. Samsung should be compensating me in some way- especially since I cannot use the phone i've purchased.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, issues with screen rotation, a few samsung apps aren't compatible
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was happily impressed by the speed and fast response of the Samsung Galaxy s6. I previously was the owner of the Galaxy s3 and I quickly saw a huge difference. Everything about the s6 is amazing, from the screen resolution, to the battery life. The camera upgrade is absolutely impeccable. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy s6 honestly can't be described, it needs to be discovered.
I moved up from a galaxy s3 and the move was tremendous! This is not only a beautiful phone but functional. I find myself using even the smaller apps in day to day tasks where it was just to much of a hassle on the s3 (Such as notes, s health, even milk video and radio!).
The Camera on this thing is just exceptional. Such clear images and video, which are made even better with the bright amoled display!!
I was excited to get a new phone but this phone blew my expectations out of the water. Even with the downsides of not having removable battery and memory. Samsung made up for it with fast charge and wireless charge (Which I use both) and the option for a 64 and 128 gb storage!
All in all I would recommend this phone to anyone who just loves great functioning phones and beautiful phones.
Instead of getting the edge I spent an extra 100 and went with the 64 gb s6 and it is a beaut! No Regrets!
I would recommend any samsung products to my friends and family members. The samsung galaxy s6 has a lot of great futures that i like including the fact that i can transfer all my data from one phone to another in heart beat. The samsung products blow the iphones out of the water.
I have had my new Galaxy S6 for less then a month. Suddenly it just stopped working. Plugged in the charger laid the phone down, went to pick it up and hour later and the screen was black, phone does not turn on, not taking a charge, just dead. The phone is protected by an otter case, was not dropped and was not exposed to water or moisture of any kind. Just sitting on the shelf charging and now it s dead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Samsung product ever!

I have a samsung tablet, had an S3, S4 and note2. The S6 is by far the worst phone. Yes, calls are clearer, but when you travel from 4G to 3G your calls are dropped. I have issues with this phone in areas I've never had issues placing calls or talking on the phone. From what I've read online, the issue is with the S6 having only one antennae vs 2. Also on the right upper side of the phone, if you use it constantly for 10 minutes it heats up to where it's extremely hot!! I have no cover on my phone and there is still an issue with the phone overheating. I"m just waiting for it to explode at this point to be honest. I have tried to exchange it for another phone and unfortunately was past my 14 day period. The only reason I still have the phone is because i"m stuck with it.
