So easy my kid can use it

I received my hub/kit and in 30 minutes had a door sensor, plug and 3rd party smart bulb set up. The set up is easy enough for a child to do, yet flexible enough to add complex sensors and routines.
Pros: easy set up

The smart things hub monitoring kit is great. The whole setup allows you to receive push notification alerts directly to your phone in realtime. With the multipurpose sensor you know when a door/window is open or closed. The motion sensor can detect movement and temperature. Add more devices as you go.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight

I'm really happy with the Smarthings products. They integrate easily with Amazon's echo.
I know feel more at ease when away knowing it is being monitored by the Smarthings products.

This is a great product with a large feature set. It works with many third party Z-Wave and Zigbee products with more products being added all the time. There is a very active online forum and a wealth of information on the SmartThings website to help you do more with this helpful little home automation hub.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, great feature set, great third party product support

So far it is wonderful. I am still setting it up to do what I want it to do. I am finding good info on the community forum that is very helpful. I think the system has alot of potential to do so many things for home automation and security.
