TV is AWESOME....Except for that one pixel.

My 55EG9100 arrived and although the image quality is outstanding(especially for a 1080p unit), after the first week I already have a "pixel" or LED that has gone bad. So now there is a blue dot where there should be all black. Other than this I am very impressed by this T.V.. The value, the image quality, user friendly functionality and the best standard remote control I have ever come across. If LG makes good on the issue I will change to 5 stars. But for now that darn blue dot is very hard not to see:)

Very nice picture and neat remote

Great picture, you can customize a great deal of the picture settings to optimize the picture. Using the cinema (user) mode I tweaked the picture to perfection. You can find numerous video settings on the net. The remote control is very neat once you learn to use it. My only complaint is that the remote is not backlit.

Excellent picture quality and ease of use

I bought LG 55EG9100 a little over a month ago after searching long and hard for a larger (65"+) LCD TV. I really couldn't get over the lack of contrast and perfect blacks on the LCD TVs, nor could I deal with the poor picture quality of objects in motion (such as watching soccer or hockey in HD) of the LCD TVs. I accidentally ran across the LG OLEDs and I liked its color reproduction, contrast, blacks, and motion clarity. The OLED picture quality difference was so much that I decided to buy a smaller OLED (55") instead of the larger LCD I was originally going to buy.
I have made some small calibration tweaks, but mostly everything is factory default. My family and I have been extremely happy with the picture quality in the past month we have used.
The WebOS 2.0 operating environment and the voice activated remote are quite easy to use. The user interface is efficient and pleasant to the eye.
Overall, yes it is more expensive than LCD based 55" 1080p TVs, but it was worth it to spend more on this LG OLED for the excellent picture quality.

Best LG TV I've owned yet

My 55" LG 3D TV went blank outta nowhere... And of course it ran good as heck until then.(The store warranty had just ran out of course). I walked into Conns and wanted another 3D TV... Saw the OLED and asked the guy if it was 3D... He said no.. I was like "what"! So I bought it anyways because for one this is my 7th LG TV... Given two were stolen when my house was broken into. And two have given up on me.... So when I opened the box up,there were 3D glasses included... I was like wait!!! Do I popped in a 3D blue ray and it presented the movie in 3D... (The sales person didn't know his stuff on the LG TV) I love the TV and would recommend the TV to anybody... Picture and sound are great as always expected from LG... And the curve is a slight curve,not as curved and thick as the Samsung curved TVs... This tv is super thin and lightweight. So.... Buy the TV!! Best LG TV I've bought so far.

Best 1080P Out There

This destroys any other TV I have seen in the stores, besides the other OLED's from LG like 9500 and 9600, but it puts the LCD LEDs to shame, and Im coming from a 7000 Plasma from Samsung that developed lines on the screen. Thankfully the Conns Home Plus warranty gave me store credit for the original price I paid for the Plasma 3 years ago, lol love it! I paid the difference using the 3 years no interest deal so I am in 7th heaven. After tuning the tv to rtings.com specifications, it looks insane, the colors are perfect, all over the screen, forget led backlight, perfect blacks is where it's at...best 1080p tv ever, plus you don't need 4k on a 55 unless you will sit 6 feet, Im at 11 feet from the couch, no difference, besides oled and 4k will be cheaper later in the future when 4k is mainstream, for now this bad boy will def hold you over for the next few years

Took a leap of faith and bought this instead of a 65" SUHD. Absolutely no regrets. Pictures are truly excellent and watching 3D movies is so much fun. The thing i wish is that the 65" OLEDs were more affordable!
