I got this oven two months ago. I had to have it serviced one month after having it. It had a buzzing sound from a part inside not securely fastened. It also gives off heat at the bottom when the oven is off. It felt like heat from a house vent. It is part of the cooling system, I have been told. This is just very odd. I have never had an oven give off heat when doors are closed and the oven is off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought a new GE oven about a year before we moved. I liked it so well that I bought one for our new house. I am glad I did.

Great Ovens

Love the versatility of the top oven--conventional or convection. We cook for family get-togethers and really need two ovens. It's our first convection oven, and we love using it for baking because we can use more than one rack at a time on "multi-convection". I was worried about having to adjust temperature settings for convection cooking, but apparently the oven automatically converts because all baked goods turn out well at the "conventional" temps with a little less cooking time needed. Cooking and browning is even. The coated racks can be easily wiped down, and each one has a space in the front center for a secure grab of the rack. The displays are easy to understand, although the method of setting the timer takes some getting used to. Preheat does take a good bit longer than what I'm used to, but setting the oven on Convection Roast or "Broil" will speed up that process. You just have to remember to reset the ovens to bake or convection bake. I've always been pleased with my GE double and single ovens, but this one is the best yet.

I have had a GE double oven for years and I loved it , so when we built our new home I knew I wanted another one. I do love my my new ovens. I love the new racks that slide so easily. I love that the timer is loud enough to be heard all over the house, you aren't necessarily in the kitchen when you are baking. I love everything about my new ovens.
