We purchased the grill with a deep dish plate to take on a recent trip. I prefer my home cooked meals to the high sodium foods in restaurants so I freeze and take along casseroles. This was great for that warming the meals I had frozen, but we also enjoy using it at home to cook meats and vegetables on the grill. I am a bit concerned that the Sear light never stops blinking once it is pressed - and lately the temperature light never stops blinking either. I've got to check on that. It is advertised a 5 serving but that applies only if you eat VERY small portions. We are not big eaters, but only 2 or 3 portions would fit on the grill.

I bought my first george foreman 2 weeks ago and I'm loving it ! ! The only thing I have noticed is that it did not come with a drip tray. Or do I have to buy it seperately

Stuck Food
on June 28, 2017

Hamburgers stick to both the top and bottom plates. When the grill is opened it tears them to pieces. The plates were non-stick at first, but it doesn't take long for them to start to stick. Cleaning them afterwards is a nightmare.

Best George Foreman I've had yet!

We've had this one for over a year now and by far the best one. We've been buying George Foreman grills for about 20 years and generally 3 years is time for a new one. They get used quite a bit. My favorite thing to cook on it is bacon! The grease drips into the tray, and it's not scalding hot to dump when done. The bacon comes out great, I think even better than in the oven(tried it several times). I love that the evolve makes a good Panini press too! I also got rid of my waffle maker with this one too. A very versatile kitchen tool. The ceramic plates are great. I only have one complaint and this has happened to all my George Foreman grills. The upper plate(only) gets a build up in the middle of a burnt on substance. I never could get it off on the others, but with the ceramic plates it cleans up quickly with a magic eraser. That's the only thing I find that works and doesn't hurt the finish. Nothing seems to stick, a little cooking spray for most foods is all you need and not for all foods either.

Died after 3 months

Bought it in February, and it died in May. Things stick to the "non-stick" ceramic and must be rigorously cleaned to get it off. The dishwasher alone is NOT enough to clean it. I bought extra plates for making eggs, but this thing burns the eggs badly even on the lowest temperature setting.
Technically it was under warranty, where the procedure is that you have to cut off the power cord, and mail it to them with a check to pay for them to send you a replacement for their broken piece of garbage. Unfortunately, my wife threw it in the trash before I cut off the power cord so now I'm just out the money I wasted on this thing. Avoid it. Buy something else.

Great Product for the Winter Months!

I love to grill, but with the cold winter months in Ohio I typically don't brave the weather to do it.
Received this product in early December and have used it 3 to 5 times a week since. The sear function works great for perfect seafood, steaks, lamb, chicken, you name it, it comes out great.
Cleanup is a breeze, the non-stick plates are truly non-stick and clean up easily practically by just spraying with warm water.
I use it on top of our cook-top with the range vent on so there are no "searing smells" in the house, just great tasting food. Warm up time is quick, and the cook time is fantastic since you're searing/heating from the top and bottom at the same time. Makes preparing meals a snap.
A wonderful way to grill indoors, and with the ease of use and cleanup I'm sure I'll use during the warmer months as well.

Good but not Great
on March 10, 2015

Most things are as expected with the grill - and I love the deep dish to warm up casseroles, but there is an issue with the grill plates not nesting at the back. If I am grilling something that is less than 3/4 inch thick, the front touches the grill but the back does not and does not cook as quickly. Also the waffle plates cook more quickly in the center than in the corners. I usually just make a "round" waffle now to avoid the undercooked corners.

I love my George!

I got this grill as a Christmas present two years ago and have made so many hamburgers, hotdogs, brats, boneless chicken breasts and thighs, pork chops - well, you get the idea! For the longest time the grill plates cleaned up beautifully - just a few swipes with a sponge in the dishwater and voila! Perfectly clean. For the last several months, however, the top grill plate has started to stick to food in the middle of the plate and now there is a build up on the plate that I cannot scrub off. It seems like there is a hot spot in that area of the grill. I would like to get a replacement top grill plate. Is that something that you sell or would I have to get both plates? I love my grill and would like it to be as easy to clean and use as it used to be!
I would recommend this to a friend!
