Bought this after reviewing and comparing all others. I was looking for a lightweight, compact camera with great zoom and fast response to take to Alaska where I could get quick pictures up close and far away without missing anthing. Yhe 21X zoom is awesome. Response time on shutter is fast. This camera exceeded my expectations with practicing with It.
I now what I was looking for and at a price that was very affordable. Besides pictures this camera has unbelievable editing and sharing characteristics.
Can'Tan't t to get all those great critter and nature pictures in Alaska.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, versatility
Cons: only one camera clor to choose from.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This camera should get some kind of award for value and stealth. I have had digital cameras since 2004, and when I see a new one that interests me, I have no problem selling the old one on Amazon or elsewhere, assuming that " I've gotten my money's worth". Mostly, tho, I am a bit of a techno-geek and as such, I take extremely good care of my cameras, keep the original boxes, and get reasonably good prices when they sell.
The Good:
1./ Unbelievably capable touch screen, with control over so many features. Most so-called touch screens give very limited functions, often only focus point, touch screen on-off, and maybe ISO or metering. Many are in fact focus-point only.
2./ Very solidly-builtl. This is not a 6-ounce plastic toy. It is a metal case with a tough battery cover and input/output ports of seriously long-lasting feel....not going to wear out in a few times of plugging in and pulling out.
3./ Advertised 21X zoom that is actually extendable to three times that with good results in daylight. This makes the WB380 the absolutely smallest 60X travel cam available.
4./ Video is very usable. This is not a $500 Sony HandyCam , it is a pocketable zoom travel cam with totally good video as its extra feature. The audio surpasses many cams I have had before, so it does kids parties and even weddings.
5./ The extended lens tube is as tight and well-built as any cam I've used. Just do not bump or drop the camera while extended - that should be obvious.
6./ WiFi works well. If you have other Samsung gear, the WiFi is very easy. NFC is great, but I hardly use it...bumping one's camera against someone else's is just sort of weird.....lol...
The Good is sometimes also the Bad:
1./ The f2.8 lens means you can sometimes shoot in restaurants and places where you cannot with the more common 3.3 or 3.5 lenses.
2./ But even with 2.8, this WB380 should be a still-life indoor camera if you don't use the flash. The reason: All small sensor cameras stop usable indoor ISO somewhere between 400 and 800 ....it's a fact of physics. The small sensor here is 1/2.3, which is the same size as all the smallest cameras, and it is the same thing that allows the camera to be small and still have a long zoom, touch screen and WiFi.
The Bad :
1./ Does not come with a Warning Sign that tells prospective buyers that this is not a DSLR with 6 add-on lenses weighing a total of 14 pounds.
This is the least money you can spend anywhere to get all the ability.... Samsung with this Wb350/380 and its NX series really is on the right track.

CONCLUSION: I have kids and grandkids in Hong Kong. I love to travel any and everywhere. On those trips, I would take this WB380 and my Sony NEX 6 with its 1650PZ and a 30mm Sigma lens : Outdoors I use the Samsung or the NEX + 1650, and indoors the WB380 in well lit rooms, and the NEX+30mm for low-light such as cathedrals , museums, and aquariums.
Cameras I have owned: Canon Elph 300HS, SX230, SX260...........Lumix zs7, ZS15........Samsung NX1000.. .. Olympus Stylus 1s........NEX 6..... As a member of an informal club in the neighborhood, I have borrowed several others for a day or two try-out..... I've seen and used a lot of these things !
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Durable, fantastic touch

Took the camera to Cancun Mexico and it was a pleasure taking pictures with it! Tremendous image quality. Very easy to use. Totally recommend!

I bought this a couple days ago for a graduation. this camera is awesome. The digital zoom works amazingly. I wish this camera cam in different colors. Its very sleek and it does everything I need it to. I never let this camera out of my site. the features such as the action freeze is crazy super good. I am going to purchase this my mom for mothers day.

Great pocket point and shoot camera. Loaded with many x-tras that you don't find on other cameras. Good solid feel. Would recommend to a friend.
