Works great

I have never used a food processor before, so I wasn't sure what to expect with the Top Chop. It is very easy to clean and use. The instructions say to cut food into 1/2" pieces before use & I'm not sure if that's normal for a smaller chopper like this but it was a little frustrating to have to "precut" my food before use. I honestly did not precut every time I used it and the chopper still works about the same. Overall the chopper worked well. There were a few pieces that did not get cut each time I used it, but most of the pieces were cut exactly as I wanted. I did receive this product for free in order to do this review, but the opinions are my own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Dissapointment.

I love Oster blenders so when I saw the top chop I bought it. The design was easier to clean than using my blender but my first try using it making hummus with 1 cup canned garbonzo beans it burned out after overheating. I'm returning it and going back to using my Oster blender that does a great job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i've had this one nearly a year and it is still going strong. Mostly I make salsa with it (a LOT of salsa, sometimes multiple jars worth a day). Only thing I bother to cut into chunks before processing is the onion and that is just into halves so they fit in the container.
Also super easy to assemble and easy to clean.
I've never had any power problems at all. Only wish is for a slightly larger one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NOT WORKING

My Mom purchased this for me as a gift. Very small and worked great the 3 times I did use the TopChop. It is no longer working. It has a powerful motor but it will not turn the blade at all when food is inside the bowl?! It's as if it is stripped somewhere, I cannot see any physical signs or wearing so I'm guessing its inside where the motor is located. Really like the color and surprised because all of my other Oster products are awesome. Plus I wanted to keep it since my Mother purchased it for me. Guess I'm trashing it because it is not worth servicing and I cannot find where I can send it to have it worked on. Frustrating!

Small and mighty!!

I was excited to receive my Oster Top Chop! I knew it would make meal prep faster but what I didn't expect was how easy it would be to use. I loved the 4 cup capacity work bowl and stainless steel chopping blades. The blades seem very durable and are easy to clean in the sink (though it is dishwasher safe--top rack only). I feel like the Top Chop has plenty of power despite its size. It handled carrots, celery, onions and anything else I threw at it with ease. It's also very quiet which is nice because I like to play music when I cook and the Oster didn't drown out my tunes! While the Top Chop will never completely replace my food processor it is PERFECT for small, quick jobs!

Good but not Great.

This food processor works well for small jobs like onions or pesto. The bowls durability seems a little weak and over time it feels like it will break. The motor is powerful enough for small jobs but it only has one speed.

Easy to use and clean

We found this chopper to be easy to use and very easy to clean and assemble. However, it does take some getting used to. The first my wife used the chopper, she turned chopped onions in to onion soup. The chopper really goes quickly so it is a touch and go versus a press and hold type of item. The chopper is dishwasher safe and cleaned up quite well, we have used it as needed but didn't find that we went out of our way to use the item at times.
One negative of the product is the length of the cord. The cord is very short and in older houses this could be a big draw back.

Terrible - Doesn't chop, blend, or process

First off, this item does not seem durable at all. The top does not lock in place and I feel that it can come off at any time.
This item seems like it wants to be both a chopper and a blender, but isn't either. It has blades like a blender, which doesn't lend itself to controlled chopping, yet can't blend simple things like nuts, veggie skins, etc. I have owned food processors, blenders, and choppers; this performs worse than any of them. Everything I made turned out poorly. Everything ended up being a combination of half liquefied, half chunks.
