Locks up and have too reset continually. Also HDMI end is very loose.

I brought this product for the TV in the guest room. I don’t usually watch TV in this room and I hadn’t completely set this product up as far as putting in passwords for all the channels. I went to watch the TV and to finish the set up and the product stayed in continuous recycle. I couldn’t reset it or anything. This is the first time I’ve had a problem with a Roku product, but I would be leery with the streaming sticks until the kinks have been worked out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not As Good As The Other Models

We purchased the Roku Streaming Stick because the Playstation wasn't doing the trick anymore. We have a ROKU box in the bedroom and in lieu of having one more box sitting on our entertainment center in the living room, we opted for the stick.
I wish we hadn't. While there are many pros about this product, the one big con is making us regret this purchase. The big issue with this particular ROKU product, is that the menu sticks/hangs. Applications and the menu itself takes forever to load. In addition, the applications don't work as smoothly on this device. Often, the remote doesn't seem to communicate with the device. I tried changing the batteries, but that did nothing to help.
While overall the ROKU products are convenient and easy to use, this particular device causes more frustration than enjoyment. It's a real time-waster.
We may have to consider dropping this device and searching for something new.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Remote Problem

I have had this Streaming Stick for a couple of months, thank you for my new remote. The problem seems to be with the remotes NOT powering off which drains the batteries AND sometimes even with NEW batteries the remote will not work with the Streaming Stick, you must unplug the power to the Streaming Stick for about 15sec (rebooting), then reinstall the batteries in the remote to get it to work with the Streaming Stick. I would be happy to trade this Streaming Stick for a Roku 3 or even a 2 due to all the remote problems I have encountered. My other Roku's 2 and 3 work great!

My bf bought this for me last weekend for black friday, the first device it didnt work, it froze on me, i couldnt watch anything, i was pretty disapointed. He exchanged it for a new one and im very happy with it, its fast, the picture quality is awesome and its much better than cable! Love! Id recommend to anyone! I was alittle worried when i exchanged it if the new one was going to work or not, i had my doubts but deffinitly amazing!

Offers tons of channels no need for cable!

Bought the roku streaming stick about a year ago when we made the decision to cut our cable the roku stick offers so many types of channels for free that there is endless possibilties of what to watch & never running out of something new to catch up on! Tons of options for everyone in the family there is something for everyone to watch! Do not miss the cable provider or bill for that matter one bit! We even bring the roku stick along with us when traveling and going on vacation to watch wherever we are! I would recommend this to everyone.
