I love the media stick!!!

I am new to streaming but did my research and decided on Roku media stick. I love it! NO cable bills, just internet. It provided WAY better clarity than expected, it loads fast and zero problems since install. There are a ton of shows to watch and movies. some channels do cost money. I have not paid any yet. (maybe amazon..99.00/yr)
I actually am wondering if I should upgrade to Roku3 box? I did the 50.00 media stick for starters and so it was a small investment incase I was disappointed. I AM ANYTHING BUT!! I love this device and use it every day.

I absolutely love the Roku Streaming Stick! I use it every single day to watch my Netflix, Hulu, and stream music through Spotify. Even better, the set up is an absolute breeze, so simple a toddler could do it! I would definitely recommend (and have) to all of my friends and family. A great experience for a great price!

Great when it's working.

Works about half the time, not sure if mine's defective or if the hulu app is just broken. Sometimes can get through 2 episodes before it freezes/reboots. While writing this review i made it halfway through a spotify ad. Works about as good as an HDMI port on a stick can i guess...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

l love roku, please make a universal remote with full keypad and more features! ^.^ also, can you partner up with carton network so we can have more shows such as adventure time!!

Great unit, missing a few key features

This unit is ideal for traveling and taking with you...except for one fatal flaw. When you travel you often stay in hotels. Hotel networks typically require you to agree to some terms, check a checkbox and click ok...easy to do on a laptop or table, impossible to do on the Roku stick. So unfortunately I returned mine. With something this small and portable, this seems like it would be a simple solution to add in a quick browser window that would be triggered when detecting this kind of page.

I have had this Roku for several weeks now and except for occasional internet difficulties, it has performed very well. And now that the internet is working again, so is the Roku. It does seem to load a little more slowly than its big brother, the Roku 3, which I also have, but once loaded, the streaming is fine. And the price is certainly right.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well when the hdmi is making good contact. I have a 32" Vizio HD TV with two hdmi ports. I have to reconnect the roku stick sometimes for the stick to work properly. I have Suddenlink for my ISP and the wifi works well most of the time. I stream Netflix and Youtube a lot and it sometimes takes just under a minute for Netflix/Youtube to launch the apps. Overall I am satisfied with my Roku Stick. Would like to see a miracast app to mirror content from my android phone or tablet
