I am using my VR for last few months!
My first experience i thought it is a waste of money! But after few attempts I realized the power and now I start enjoying it!
The video experience is awesome. You will never ever realize you are relaxing in you sofa or bed!!
As a next step i tried to use the thru camera and walk over my home wearing it! it is really a crazy idea! first 1-2 minutes it was difficult! everything you are seeing is too away, but when you walk, you got hit/hurt. So i warned my brain and start controlling it and i made coffee by wearing it! it was fun!!
i really like it but i felt few problems
1. I tuned as much as i could, but could not reach good clarity yet. i am not sure whether that is expected or the item is damaged!
2. I tried using galaxy s6 edge, the phone is getting too hot

Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no speaker, clarity is not good

I never want to share. The experience really takes you there . My heart skips a beat, my stomach, drops it feels so real.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: spec on the glass i can't clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Gear VR is a well made device. Oculus has designed a device that sits comfortably over the eyes and is well-balanced on the head. My *ONLY* complaint is that it presses down on the nose a little bit more than I would like but thats my problem due to my ample schnoz.
Software designed for the GVR is fun, comfortable on the senses and engaging. I can't wait for new goodies to be released. A drawback to some content is that live-action video is rather pixelated which detracts from the quality. Another is that the magnification of the screen makes the actual pixels of my phone more prevalent, but you tend to ignore that drawback as you dive into the game or other VR content youre experiencing. Ventilation of your mobile device and the GVR also seems to be an issue. When temperatures run high, you have to pause to let everything cool down. Perhaps a small fan or inconspicuous vents will help. The lenses also tend to steam up from time to time. I suggest purchasing a handheld Bluetooth controller for playing action type games. The touch pad is nice, but your arm will get tired before too long.
Overall, this is a great accessory and I'm always proud to share the VR experience with anyone who asks to check it out.

Not quite there yet

To be honest, I really wanted to love this but my guess is Samsung VR app may be to blame. My biggest complaint is that gear VR keeps telling me to remove the phone and reinsert it. It really takes the overall experience to almost unacceptable. The first and second use of the VR went without a hitch. After that every time I insert the phone into the gear VR, it keeps telling me to take it out and reinsert it. I kept doing it for like 20 times and VR still rejects it. I was ready to return the darn thing. The only way to get over this problem was clearing out all the background apps, RAM, and shut down and reboot the phone. Even then it's not a 100% success workaround. Sometimes I have to clear RAM several times. So you can see my frustration. I am keeping the device but I'm not loving the VR enough to recommend to my friends just yet. Also the apps are expensive and RAM usage of this thing is about 85+ % on my Note 5. Therefore 3 stars rating.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations

I just love the Gear VR its so real and for the price everyone should at least try it! It's not 1080p more like 720p but good enough.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, wish it was 1080p!!

The reason why I gave this such a low score is the following:
- Minus a star for the padding and headset itself being painful to wear. I have a big nose, maybe that is the issue. I don't know. The padding does very little in terms of comfort, I don't see anyone using this thing for more than a few minutes.

- Minus a star for fogging lenses. Because the lenses are cold to start with, they will fog up easy unless they are warmed up. Having to warm them up before each use is ridiculous, since the phone itself is a heater, that should heat the lenses up itself.
- Minus a star for focus. I know how to use the focusing dial on the top, but it is impossible. It seemed to never find my focus. I don't know if I have bad IPD or what (Finding the term last night), but no matter what I couldn't focus the dial for my vision.
- Minus a star for protecting the phone. I would think it would have some sort of gel surface to place the phone on inside and outside to prevent scratches. I noticed a tiny scratch or two after use. Can't find where now...
+ Plus a star for having a touch pad that is easy to use on the side of the headset, and having a back button available.
+ Plus a star for being virtual reality, the cartoon styled games I noticed had the best vr quality. Cool to feel that your in a place.
+ Plus a star for startling me in a game I played about a murder mystery. And the menu's always had you in some sort of environment that was cool alone to look around.

Overall I hope they address these issues, then i'll stick with them for VR. But the negatives above do scream out loud, and it is hard to want to share a VR experience with friends and family knowing the negatives.

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, phone bay might cause scratches, painful to wear barely any padding, eyes couldn't find a good focus, lenses fog after a few seconds

Great product but lack of apps and games

I love this product but there are limited video apps for this. Also phone get heats up within 20 mints a so cant watch more than this time in a single sitting as it start showing warning and stop working to cool down. No youtube support and also vimeo app has no search option. Phones have no sd support so you have to download video to watch , I have 32 gb phone so cant download much.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!
