This is my first virtual reality headset and all I can say is WOW!! The rollercoaster videos had me feeling like I was on the ride. Even got a little dizzy! I can't wait until phones come out with 4K or 8K displays so the 3D videos and pictures are sharper! I am definitely impressed!! Can't wait to show friends and see their reactions.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was apprehensive about getting the Gear VR but then my wife got it for me for Christmas and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I use it mainly for watching Netflix and for that the Gear VR works amazingly well. I have not played any games yet because I would like to get a gamepad first. I have a really hard time using the side controls.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, not a fan of the controls
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the first time I have used a head mounted VR product. It is light, adjusts well to my face and is fairly intuituve to use. Knowing instinctively where the key pad and focus buttons will help alot. As an intro to the Oculus, I am pleased...looking forward to being able to see and manipulate my "hands" in the virtual environment...without that feature, I feel like an observer...not a participant. Video quality is good...but not amazing. For the money though, this was a worthwhile investment.

Excellent bang for the buy!

Great product with unlimited possibilities

I saw this product in one of BestBuy stores and was immediately in love with it. I was skeptic until saw this product but man...what a gadget to own. As soon as I plugged my phone into it, it started downloading Oculus software that is needed for it to work. The very first thing I watched was Jurassic World short movie. It was amazing. I felt like I am there with the dinosaur in the middle of the jungle. Everyone whom I showed this product, they were immediately in love with it and they all wanted it right away.
There is quite a bit of content available from the Samsung and Oculus store that can be watched with the VR. One of my favorite is the one where you can practice Public speaking. So real. 360 degree pictures are amazing too and you can spend hours looking at them.
The only downside I have seen if the low resolution. Many things are pixelated but the 3D and 360 Degrees experience makes up for that.
I highly recommend it.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, heats up my phone after using it for about an hour
