I was surprised that the Gear VR worked as well as it does. Most new products suffer from inefficiencies based on limited technology. the Gear really sets the bar high for others to match. Even the initial content is more substantial than ever. I look forward to additional content being added. The Gear's future is unlimited.
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Lightweight, comfortable

This was given as a gift. It is extremely fun to play! Does make you a little sick it you get any kind of motion sickness. We got the remote control also for the games to make it easier. It does drain the life out of your phone quick (if you have a standard battery).
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: battery drainage to phone, need headphones for better effect

I absolutely enjoy this device in every way. The ability to watch Netflix on a giant screen without bothering others makes this amazing. The gaming is awesome and though I have yet to explore every use, I am glad that I purchased this device. That said, there is a severe lack of content through the Samsung/Oculus market which in my view makes the value of the VR drop. For those who do not mind spending the money for the experience I would say it is well worth it, however for those seeking content I would wait to see what happens.
Pros: amazing vr experience
Cons: too little content

A Great Escape

Just got my VR gear and I have the Note5. Took all of 10-15 minutes to get the system up and running. I feel this is a great way to check out the VR tech which is proving quite a blast. Netflix is really a cool app and I can see future enjoyment as I lay in bed to watch some movies! You are really immersed in a virtual world and I found myself losing track (getting lost) in it. I've only just begun and have tried only a handful of VR Apps but so far I am not the least bit disappointed.
A few growing pains...Apparently and (understandably) the device/software is very demanding (DUH) since my Note 5 really heats up. The resolution or viewing experience is a tad hampered by the ocular distance. You are so close to the screen that you see the pixels. Not a deal breaker but I expect this will significantly improve over time. I find the resolution acceptable - just not HD quality. Pretty sure it will not be an issue on the Oculus Rift.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def

This is the future

This is an amazing product. It takes you out of your environment into a whole new world. Once your eyes adjust to it is hard to stop watching. The only things that I would like to see changed are the headstrap and speakers. It could be made to fit people with larger heads a little more comfortably. Also the speakers are not that good but this is an easy fix with a bluetooth headset. Other than that I believe this is the future of entertainment.

There are probably more expensive VR devices out there but for the price, I'm sure this has to be the best value. The experience just takes me away to somewhere foreign and interesting.
