I was amazed at how it takes you to a whole other world. You literally almost forget where you are.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: needs to let the menu recenter vertically as wel

Overall very good. Every now and then I'll have to unplug it and reconnect it to get it to start up correctly, but always works on the reconnect.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight

Samsung Gear VR is an inexpensive way to dive into the virtual reality world. Since the VR experience is in its infancy for public consumption Gear VR is an exciting experience. The graphics on the games are very good. The tools on the headset are adequate and take some getting use to. When it comes to the "virtual world", however, clarity is often blurry and streaming tends to buffer quite a bit. One would assume that updates on the oculus applications will rectify this in the future. An overall enjoyable experience with many options yet undiscovered.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Durable
Cons: Not high def
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
