This one you can mute so it is quiet.

I would buy again but it is not perfect for me. First this microwave is huge. Two feet wide, 13 1/2 inches tall and 18 1/2 deep. Takes up a lot of space on the counter. I wish it had a handle to open the door instead of the push button opener. Does have a slamming sound when closing door but not as loud as most.
The main reason I bought it was that you can turn off the "beeps".

NICE LOOKING, EASE OF OPERATION

Have only just bought oven. like how it looks, very roomy inside. seems to be well made. so far the operation has been easy. It seems to heat much faster than my last oven which was 6 years old. cannot completely rate performance since I have not owned it very long.

This microwave is a little bigger than some of the other models, but as we have been told - bigger is better!! It has the ability to cook larger quantities quickly with 1200 watts, and the stainless exterior matches the rest of my GE appliances perfectly!

my first Ge Microwave

I just bought this microwave today 6/16/17 because I've had my Shape since 2006 and felt it was time to get a new one I was going to by another sharp but this look like a good deal besides my stove/ dishwasher and refrigerator are all GE my Refrigerator I bought back in 97 and it still works great my stove is a ceramic top and its still like new I bought it in 2003 even my dishwasher is still working great I've had it since 03 I'm sure the new microwave will give me years of great service too
