Door opening button works great!

We just got rid of a 1 year old competitor brand microwave of identical size and power. On that one, the door opening button never felt very positive. Even when new, it wouldn’t always release the door after the cooking cycle. Finally got so bad, you had to lift the door from the bottom while pushing the button, and it still only worked after several tries.
This new GE microwave opens quickly and the button feels positive every time. The controls are easy to use, and the unit has plenty of power for any task. It is quiet, heats/cooks thoroughly, defrosts nicely wether using weight or time. I couldn’t be happier!

One of the best appliances i got. He heats up my food to where i dont have to re heat it up. It's very spacious and easy to clean.

I looked at several built in microwaves since I bought a beautiful hood vent to go over my range. The quality was just not the same as an over the range microwave unless you spend over a thousand dollars or go with a dual built in oven/microwave. We just didn't have the room for the dual. This GE is very nice for the money. The door opening button works very easily. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a microwave that's not and over the range model. Still waiting for my cabinets to build it in.

I had a built-in GE microwave that just gave up the ghost after 16 years of good service. I look forward to many more years with this model (which fit perfectly in the same spot).
