I purchased this microwave oven to replace the previous GE microwave oven, same exact specs that had lasted our family for 15 years. The new oven has the same quality and feel that I come to expect from GE. Excellent product. Highly recommend.

Hi there - thank you for leaving this review. We apologize that the options can be difficult to select and that you're hearing a louder-than-normal humming noise when the microwave is in operation. This must be irritating and we are sorry for any inconveniences it's caused.

You may hear a louder hum when the unit is cooking, especially when the microwave is cooking on any power level other than High. This is due to the cycling of the magnetron tube.

Functional and inexpensive

Although the unit took months to arrive after ordering it did finally show up. Normal microwave controls and seems to work right. It fit into the hole my previous GE wall mount microwave came out of after it broke down. Looks a little make shift since there is no wall mount kit for this one but it will do until we remidel the kitchen

Very well designed and came in white which my wife wanted. It has a lot of power and heats up food fast. Also it cleans up real easy.

Bought this as a replacement for my 2008 GE Profile microwave which stopped working. I loved that I was able to use the same trim kit from my old microwave, saving me $$$. Installation was a breeze (done by my me and my husband). I love this microwave and looks like my old one - matches my other appliances.

Love my new GE microwave! With more wattage than my old GE, foods cook quicker and more evenly. I use the defrost feature often and it works beautifully. GE is a trusted brand in my home.

Door issues!

Second GE-JES2051SNSS in ten yrs. First one lasted 9 yrs and needed to be replaced because door would not close completely— a hinge issue - appeared it loosened but there are no visible ways to adjust it so it remained securely closed. Also would turn itself on randomly, when the door did close securely. It became a hazard..Since it was a great machine, purchased the same model. It has had issues with the door since initial use! The door rattles very loud! It will stop rattling if gentle touch hold up the bottom of the door on the right side( the side opposite the hinge). Once again this appears to be a hinge issue! There are no screws or ways to adjust hinge!! Perhaps looking at fixing this hinge to make it accessible to adjustment because it appears only minor adjustment would be needed, then I would give a higher review. I am terribly disappointed in this product!
