Fits old GE Trim JE1860CHBH

Our original GE 1.8 Cu. Ft. Microwave Oven purchased and installed in 2004 with the GE trim JX1830 finally gave out in 2023. The GE 2.0 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven JES2051DNBB was the only GE that looked like it would fit the 30" Deluxe trim kit JX1830. We easily took out the old microwave and put the new microwave with old trim back in. The controls are very similar to old microwave so made it easy to start using. We loved our old one so I am sure we will love this one. Just so happy that we were able to use old Trim Kit.

Cheaply built

Microwave is very cheaply built. It replaced an older GE microwave that failed after 16 years. This was supposed to be the replacement model but it is not nearly as well built. Weight alone was about 2/3 of the previous. Power level controls do not work as they are supposed to and the door open button sticks and feels like very light plastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you are having difficulty in opening the door we recommend pressing the center of door latch for a smooth operation. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate.
