It heats well, but touch panel is not smooth now

The 30 second button appears to have something protruding under the plastic overlay. Not as smooth as it was when purchased recently.

Our original one finally went after 14 years of use with small children. Bought the same one due to reliability. After constant daily use lasted this long .Found almost the same exact model .Very good product and easy to clean .

Matches My Old One, sort of.

Just bought, and installed this new GE microwave model JES2051SN5SS to replace my 5 year old dead GE model JES2051SN4SS microwave. I was slightly disappointed that the previous oven only lasted 5 years but it worked great right up until it died. Time will tell how long this new oven works, but at least it has all the same features as the old one (albeit 1200W vs 1600 in the old one) and it matches the decor perfectly with my remaining GE kitchen suite of appliances.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Perfect Replacement

I purchased this microwave as a replacement for my GE Profile. It’s the perfect replacement. Fits perfectly in the shelf space and the inside is much bigger than my old model. Myself and family just love it!

Our old GE microwave which was nearly 20 years old finally bit the big one a couple of days ago. Yesterday we went to the next town and purchased this from an appliance store. So far, this meets all my expectations. The 1200W of power is VERY noticable compared to our old one. The body and inside of this new one is MUCH larger than our old one. One thing that concerns me is the door and body are really flimsy compared to our old one as well. It's also about half the weight of our old one. I hope this isn't an issue of quality. We are a retired couple, so it won't get the abuse of a family setting. It also maxes out the cubby hole built in our cupboards for a microwave to sit in. I think we'll like it once we get through the learning curve.
