Looks great, but doesn’t hold up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dishwasher over a year ago for the great looks, hidden controls, and moving our kitchen to all stainless steel appliances.
All 3 racks have rusted through in spots and had to be replaced (under warranty, so thank you). Drain pump has already had to be replaced as well, not under warranty any longer.
Very disappointed in the drying function, always have to open dishwasher after cycle completes and allow to air dry for long periods. Previous dishwasher always finished with the dishes completely dried or very close to it.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned this fir a couple of years and probably would not have purchased it.
There are some great features. Most notably; the top third knife tray and the unbelievably quiet operation. There is a lot of flexibility in positioning the trays and racks. Good designs.
We were unaware that there is no option for a heated dry operation that caught us by surprise. Unless you use a rinse agent, expect wet dishes when you unload. The worst design flaw seems like a slight inconvenience but it is aggravating enough that I can not recommend this unit. The selection touch panel on the top of the door is nearly impossible to read. It would have been simple to light the selections and identify when something is selected by either modifying the backlight or adding some element. The same is true for the capacity indicator on the rinse agent compartment. These are looked at every time we use the washer and it is frustrating every time.

Almost a good feature

You need to be able to lock the fold down to prevent it from falling down. Second bowl and it flops. Plus the dishes don’t dry. Ffs I’ll never by a LG again.
