[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit was purchased about 6 years ago to replace a unit that was over 20 years old. The installation was done by myself and was easy and no problems at all. This is DEFINATELY the quietest dishwasher I have ever had. Sometimes the only way I could tell it was running - even standing next to it, was because the little green LED was blinking! The stainless steel front is nice, but a little hard to keep clean. I think the newer "no smudge" units probably get rid of this minor problem. The only only other problem is the adjustable tines that can fold up of down in the bottom rack. They no longer stay in the upright position any more, even if a plate is sitting there. Sometimes they move and then plates may tough each other during the wash resulting in areas that might not get fully clean.
Over the past month or so, we have noticed a sound that is definitely linked to the water pump. You can hear it spin up in speed during the wash, and then stop when the cycles change. It probably is an impeller part of the motor, or maybe the entire pump system. But unfortunately this part of the unit is not under the 10 year warranty as far as I know. I think that very soon the unit will have to be replaced, unless just pump assembly can be replaced. That would require getting the right part for a unit that has been discontinued - so it may or may not be possible. Replacing a dishwasher for a house with only 2 adults after 6 years seems to be a bit on the short side of longevity in my opinion, especially with a warranty that states that says there is 10 years of something that is covered - just not exactly sure what that portion is.
