Not designed for wine drinkers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dishwasher for a week and, while it seems to work fine, I was very disappointed to discover that one cannot put wine glasses in the top rack without removing one or both cutlery trays, or lowering the top rack which means one has to be careful how the bottom rack is loaded to be sure something is blocking the arm under the top rack. I thought the cutlery tray would be so cool - freeing up space in the lower rack for dishes and pots. But if you drink a lot of wine and have long stemware, forget it. You can't use both. Our old dishwasher had the cutlery tray in the door and I wish I had stuck with this design. I guess I will get used to having to take out a cutlery tray or lower the top rack every time I wash a wine glass. Disappointed. Also no way to secure the stem of the wine glass so that it doesn't move around during the cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Design Flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my LG for about a year. It pretty and after I installed a water softner, it actually got my dishes clean (didn't before that). More unfprtunate is the fact that the racks are not designed well, they don't hold up the dishes and come unlocked during washing. Your only option for tall glasses is the bottom rack, which is NOT where glasses should be placed, especially if they are not galss (have to hand wash those). Lastly, a very disappointing feature is that the Clean Dishes light does not stay on until the machine is opened to indicate to everyone in my family that there is clean dishes in the dishwasher and not to put dirty dishes in with them (come on, that should be basic!).
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So quiet you don't know its running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought this to replace a kenmore. i really hg and have a washer and dryer. the bottom rack is tall enough to accommodate my tall jars and tongs and cutting boards. glasses are somewhat problematical on the top rack because there is not so much room for them. but i am able, with some creative stacking, to get the job done. it is very very quiet, has alot of useful features and does a very nice job
