Needs work, doesn’t work like it used to!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially, it worked very well. Two years into ownership, it doesn’t dissolve detergent pods properly, dishes need to be Re-washed, and the silverware looks like they weren’t washed at all.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

That's terrible to know you've encountered such unfortunate circumstances when dealing with your purchase of the LDF7774BB . I too would be baffled at the thought of only having the dishwasher not dissolve the pods correctly or properly wash the dishes. Wow! Works great

Bought this about three years ago, has worked perfect ever since. The dishes come out spotless as long as you use Jet dry of something similar. We never have to scrape a dish and even dried on food is no problem. Super quite. I have had many dishwashers and this is by far the best.

Already defective after 2 years

Purchased our LDF7774 and all three racks have deteriorating coating and are rusting. Regarding performance: quiet as advertised but if there are any larger items in the bottom, the items in the top racks do not get clean. Drying design does not rely on heating elements; drying aid must be used or the dishes are wet.

The features are great BUT...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher performs well but I am disappointed that my top rack has rusted in spots. It will be 3 years old this year. My last dishwasher, different brand, was almost 10 years when I replaced and it still looked and performed great.

The Worst

This product has been one of the worst purchases in my home ever when I first got it it did not dry the dishes at all I had a service repair man come out and fix that and now sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t it must be on one setting to dry sort of but can not use any other settings. Two years and two months later it will not drain water it has leaked all over my floor and ruined my cabinetry

RUSTING RACKS

I bought this dishwasher a year and a half ago and the top and bottom racks began rusting after the year's warranty ended. The rust became progressively worse and the rusted areas split. I went to Sears where I purchased the dishwasher and they told me to contact LG, there was nothing they could do; this was an issue with LG dishwashers but it was not expected to happen after one year. This is unacceptable for an appliance of such high repute for quality. Kindly contact me to advise when/how LG will be replacing the racks. Karen McCallum

This is the worst dishwasher I've ever owned.

I wish I could say something good about this dishwasher but it frustrates me to the point I don't use it anymore. I'm not going to complain about the rack configuration or the simple issues because the plain and simple truth is that my dishes are not clean. My glasses are coated in white scum no matter what detergent or rinse aid I use, my dishes go in dirty and come out dirty.

Did Not Live Up to Expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher in August of 2015. I have had to replace the pump after two years and now after 3 years 9 months all the circuits and display are non-functional. I cost less to buy a new dishwasher than to fix this old one with new parts.
