It's...alright.

Overall, I like the design and colors (I chose the aqua blue shell w/ grey slip cover combination), but the slip cover i received wasn't molded correctly. The two cases fit so nicely on one side, on the other side not so much. It's a small mistake, but still disappointing (especially considering all the great things I've heard about Otter Box.) That being said, I would have given four stars were is not for the screen cover. I love its matte texture and how it keeps figure prints less visible between cleanings. However, I'm not found of its blue tint over my lovely white phone, or how easily the installation card leaves scratches at the lightest touch. If you do choose to use the included screen protector, I'd highly recommend using the cleaning cloth around your finger instead of the installation card to remove bubbles. Also, I found that the screen protector takes away from that beautiful 1080p display, leaving graphics slightly blurred. (I'm not completely sure if all screen protectors do this, but it's something to consider.)
All things considered, I would still recommend the case, just buy a separate screen protector :)

SECOND COMMUTER...FOR GOOD REASON

Just received my second Commuter case. The first one went on my Galaxy S3 and to this day still looks and operates like new and most of the credit goes to this case. Drops happen, phone survived them all. Just got an S5 Neo. Case fits like a glove. Really like the soft insert/surround and the hard plastic shell. Color options for customization is great. Has a dust flap for headphone jack but not charger jack (S3 case had both). Not a huge deal, but would have been nice. Can't see myself using any other case than Otterbox.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been buying the commuter series for my last two smartphones, including this one, and there is no complaint. When I purchased my S5 I knew I had to get this case, and since I've had it I have dropped my phone twice on a concrete surface and there has been no damage at all!!! No scratches, cracks, dints, or dings. Now I'm considering buying the wallet case so I don't have to carry my wallet everywhere. This product is awesome and I wouldn't recommend anything but OtterBox!
Pros: High quality, Durable

Don't get the Pink

As a pink fan, I got the white with pink at my local store. Like other reviews, the pink gets very dirty and does not clean off well. Now the outer part is black looking and my phone looks nasty dirty. Other than that, the case holds up well like other otter box cases I've used.
Pros: Durable
Cons: hard to clean, slip cover looks dirty

Best product out there

I bought my commuter case about 6 months ago. Really just bought it for the name, I didn't know anything about Otterbox at all. A few days ago, as I was running for a bus, my s5 fell out of my pocket (I'm running, mind you, so it hit hard), slammed onto the concrete sidewalk, bounced about 6 times before coming to rest on it's face. I had a heart attack. When I picked up the phone, it was perfect! No scratches, cracks, nothing! Even the case is still perfect. Real world proof for me that this product is fantastic. I will never buy anything other than Otterbox. Thanks so much for making a superior product!!

First case I have left on my phone

I have had other cases for many of my phones and I always ended up removing them after a day or so. The Otter Box commuter has been the exception. Even though it is big it doesn't make the phone fell too bulky and adds significant protection to the phone.
I have seen here and other places where people are concerned with the fit in the upper right corner. I too was disappointed with this when I first go the case. On further examination I figured out it had to do with the headphone jack flap. If you open the flap and give it a slight pull the inner case will seat much better.
One comment for Otter box is it might be nice to offer this case bundled with both back shells. For myself I can see me swapping to the wallet for certain situations if I had that option.

Hours spent researching the best phone cases lead me to Otterbox and more specifically the commuter series wallet.
Nice perfect fit rubber shell for the S5 followed by the strong plastic protector casing which includes the wallet.
Don't be put off by the reviews that say 'hard to get into it' as you will get into it and it becomes a knack after about the 5th go...
Its great phone case and can take 2 cards...... (making sure you place them upside down so the card numbers are not facing upwards!)
Any more (including cash) and you'll start to struggle. But forced me to operate on 2 cards for day to day duties.
In short ~~ VERY well made, quality, sturdy product and a safe repository for a couple of 'day to day' cards. And delivery was QUICK. And that's delivery all the way to New Zealand.
Highly recommend.

Commuter Wallet Poorly Designed

The case itself seems like a great Otter Box case. Haven't put it to the test but it seems strong/durable like all Otter Boxes. The "wallet" is poorly designed though. I had hoped to replace my wallet for most day-to-day stuff with this, but I am going to return it. It is very hard to open and a bit difficult to close. It requires a two handed grip and a both thumbs to slide open. It would be much easier if there was grip on the back (add ridges or something!) to give your fingers purchase, but it's just smooth plastic. It claims to hold 3 cards and one cash bill. They fit, but make opening the slider even more difficult. In addition, if you use your speaker at all (being on the back of the phone), while the slider doesn't muffle the sound much at all, once you have cards in there it does noticeably muffle the sound.
Pros: High quality
Cons: poor design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
