Great while it Lasted

The best printer I ever had while it lasted. Bought 8/22/2014 but last week, it has the dreaded Error Code 0x97. I even bought extra 786 XL inks and Epson high quality ink jet papers. This printer should last more than 3 years, NOT!

Clogs Clogs Clogs!

Apparently, you MUST print almost everyday otherwise the print head will clog up. The print head cleaning function will not unclog it.
This is a shame, this seemed to be a nice printer, but I will never purchase EPSON again. My previous printers from other companies NEVER clogged up if I haven't printed for maybe 1-2 months (Occasionally, I have to be out of town for long term travel).

Home Office

Purchased printer in Oct 2014 and was completely satisfied for the first 6 months. Print quality has been less than expected even after cleaning print heads and running maintenance. Printer stopped functioning in May 2016 and Epson Support determined it was a hardware issue and is off warranty. I am a light user and expected a longer life from this printer. Also, the print cartridges are very large physically but contain a huge ratio of air to ink!

Not happy

I had a tough time setting this printer up, but once I did I was happy with the print quality and speed. I'm not the most tech-savvy person in the world, but I think this printer was designed for that person. It has been trying to get me to replace ink cartridges for over a month, during which time I have printed hundreds of pages. Now it has an error code of 0xF1 since a jam, and it appears the machine is dead. It still has the first set of cartridges I installed in it June 4 of 2015.

Works Well but Not A Perfect Printer

I purchased product because I was told this "was the most ink efficient printer on the market." Not true. I rarely use color copy and am always running out of ink. The only thing I can attribute this to is the constant need to clean the heads. If I skip a few days of printing, my documents print with missing lines and I need to clean the heads every couple of days. Otherwise, I really like the printer as a all-in-one.

Great Printer Cartridges Way Too Expensive
on September 7, 2015

Right after getting this printer I found out that the ink cartridges are very expensive and that Epson just rolled out a new printer series that allows for the inks to be refilled and comes with 2 years worth of ink. I was wrong to make this purchase.

Unreliable

I purchased the WF-4630 for home use since I was happy with the one we had at work. However, shortly after this recent purchase, I started having many issues with the office printer. First, print quality deteriorated. It took many print head cleanings (and corresponding use of a great deal of ink) to regain satisfactory quality. Then the printer completely failed with the dreaded 0x97 error (which I believe is a hardware failure). This essentially is the end of the printer, 18 months after purchase.
After some searching on the web, it appears this is a fairly common occurrence. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Epson WF Pro 4630

The all in one worked flawlessly out of the box. Nice crisp clear scans and prints. Color scans are very true to original colors.
I connected the unit to my desktop using a USB cable and share it over my in home network, but could not find out how to turn on the ability to print from my iPad. I tried to get help through the Email support route. Apparently those that responded don't really read what you say. I finally had to call support and get elevated to level 2 to get the setup resolved. This needs to be in the setup directions!
