Love the printer. I like the large format and the drivers were easy to install. Scans look great and the color print quality is exceptional.

It's an OFFICE printer

Photos are fair, but the machine is not marketed as a photo printer, know that going in. As all printers go, it eat ink, yes. Works well as an office printer where documents are mostly printed. read up on the user manual - it will help with "conflicts" in paper sizes most complain about. Have had 5 Epson printers over the years. The last "Artisan" model (used as an office computer) lasted years, as all my Epsons have. Would have given five stars but only been in use a month.

Difficult to figure out how to change ink. Ink runs out very quickly. Other than that, the quality is very good.

I take high resolutions pictures and need that kind of detail in my prints. The WF delivers very good performance for the money and has been a solid tool.

The Ink

I recently had an Epson Workforce Pro 4530, which I was very pleased with. It had nice big ink cartridges. I love the large scan bed on the new model. However, the ink cartridges are very tiny for such a printer. I can't imagine why such small cartridges were put into what is supposed to be a workhorse machine! Otherwise it has performed well.

Poor construction quality.

You get what you pay for. The printer is very poorly made with plastic parts that will not reach a year of moderate use before needing to be replaced. The paper tray needs to be shoved in so hard you think you're going to break it. Sadly, that's exactly what happens. In another office, a small plastic piece in the print cartridge broke that is no larger than a pea. Between two offices, we have gone through three of these printers, and none of them have lasted more than a year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
