This is a pretty good case. It is very protective towards my phone. I have the pink and white one and I do have a problem. The pink rubber that isn't covered by the white plastic cover is brown and dirty and will not come clean. I also cannot use the fingerprint scanner with this case. Other than those two problems I would recommend this product to a friend, just not the pink one.
Cons: won't come clean

Do NOT get pink rubber

I got the case as a gift for Christmas - Commuter Pink Rubber/Gray Hard Shell. It has been only a month and the pink rubber that is not covered by the shell is faded and dirty and will not come clean and is slightly peeling on the corners. The only place it goes is in my purse. I do not have experience with dropping it and the protection yet but if you get pink rubber, it will not last you long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Skeptical at first but love it now

If I had been asked on the first day if I liked my commuter wallet, I'd have given it one star. Once I got the wallet part opened and closed a few times, it now works great. I have a card for work that I need to keep on me at work. The commuter wallet does the trick.
Pros: High quality, Durable, convenient
Cons: hard to open at first

Not as great as I thought it would be...

I absolutely loved my Wallet case for my Galaxy S4 and so did every clerk or cashier who saw me use it. When I got my S5, I knew I NEEDED to order a new Wallet case to fit. I was disappointed by the color choices and the low quality of this product. My S4 case seemed to be more sturdy. The S5 wallet does hold more than the S4 case; I have 3 cards and a paper bill in it right now. It is much harder to open the case. I'm hoping that it will get easier as I use it more. I probably would get a different case in the future and not the wallet.
Pros: holds 3 cards easily
Cons: Low quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a Defender case for my Galaxy S5, but at that time i didn't feel confident in case my phone fell on its face because the plastic would transfer the impact directly to my screen and the rubber is not high enough in order to protect it so i contacted the wonderful otterbox costumer support internationally and they gently replaced my case. They wanted to see me completely satisfied. Now i have a Commuter case and am loving it so much! I will never buy cases from another brand! Otterbox is just the best! I am proud of using their cases.

Excellent Case!!

I have used Otter box cases for all my phones and I am currently using for my Samsung Galaxy s5. I bought the commuter case and have dropped it twice from chest level with no damage to the case or phone. I highly recommend a screen protector either plastic or the new glass ones to protect your screen from scratches, although the glass on s5 is pretty sturdy.
The s5 is water proof and I actually wash my phone with the commuter case on and towel dry. (paper towels can scratch plastic and glass)
I love this case, it is thin and fits the phone perfectly.
The only issue is the case will not allow for the over ear beats headphones to fit, only smaller headphones with thin AUX adapter.

I had this case on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I dropped the phone in my living room on the hardwood floor. The screen is cracked on my phone.......I am sorry, but I would not recommend this case.

This is my 3rd commuter case for my smartphones. I had never tested one, until a few days ago that is. Mowing my lawn with my commercial mower it slipped out of my pocket. After it's journey through the drive system and being propelled out the cutter deck I thought, there's a new phone. There was rubber frayed out everywhere, plastic missing from the shell and a melted screen cover. After removing my S5 from the case it miraculously survived unscathed. I had another case on order that night.
