Good print quality.

This printer has good print quality. On multi-sheet documents, the printing is pretty fast after the first sheet. Fax and scan both work well.
I print on the back of old sheets, and the print tray must be pulled out to see if an old piece of paper is loaded. For the 6500 I had, you could lift the paper tray to see what was loaded.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product jams when faxing more than one sheet.

It worked fine when I first got it. I called Tech support twice both times I let them take over my computer to fix the problem. Both times they told me it was fixed. It still has the same problem.

The unit is like any other printer by HP.
The wifi is not user friendly. Instructions are not easy. Too many hoops and options. I just want my devices to be able to print without so many securities.

I have exchanged this printer twice because of various problems. Now it won't print from my computer unless I turn it off and on. Very annoying.

Wonderful...when it works

First of all, I am a die-hard HP fan; from laptops to printers, that's all I buy or ever will buy. With regard specifically to the HP Officejet Pro 8610, I think it's a great product--crisp clear reproductions, no jams, fast, everything that you would expect from a great product...with one caveat that overshadows all the great things about it; namely, its apparent inability to remain visibly on line by my laptop. In the last two months I've had this printer, I have had to uninstall and then install all the drivers for this printer five times as a result of a recurring message that displays when I attempt to print a document: "printer off line." I receive this message as I am looking at my printer indicating to me that it is in fact connected to the internet. In fairness, this could also be attributed to my HP laptop, or Windows 8, but since I can't seem to get any answers from HP support, I shall lay the problem at the doorstep of the printer. For this reason I gave the printer's performance two stars. When HP finally begins to respond to the many customer complaints regarding this issue, and subsequently finds and fixes this problem, I'm sure I'll give performance five stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this printer. Easy installation. Great with WiFi and/or ethernet. Does a great printing job. A really great investment. Thanks to HP.

THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH THIS PRINTER IS YOU HAVE TO RETRACK THE SLIDE OUT PORTION OF THE RECEIVING TRAY FOR PRINTED PAPER TO COME OUT ON IN ORDER TO PULL OUT THE TRAY HOLDING PAPER SUPPLY TO SEE IF YOU NEED TO REFILL, THIS CAN BE A PAIN IF YOU PRINT ALOT LIKE I DO.
