The sensor doesn't work

I was excited for my dryer because it has good reviews, but the sensor doesn't work so this dryer will dry for 8 hours if put on at night. I purchased this model specifically because it has a sensor. Someone came over and tried to fix it but didn't actually do anything. Now I am stuck with a faulty dryer that I paid a lot of money for.

Terrible drying ability

This dryer is terrible! It does not dry a full load of towels. After an hour and a half, I took the towels out of the dryer and brought them to a laundromat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So Far So Good

I've only had my dryer for a week so it may be too early to tell. So far it runs quieter than my previous GE dryer (replaced after 15 years) and dries clothes faster. My only concern is that on the inside drum are 2 metal bars that run across the lint trap. On 3 occasions the dryer sheet has gotten wrapped up in them and I'm not sure the sheet is as effective if it's not tumbling amongst the clothes. The first time I ran the dryer the fabric sheet that was caught in the metal bars became knotted around a dish towel. It's impossible to tell if the bent bar resulted in the fabric sheet being "caught" or if the fabric sheet being knotted with the dish towel caused the metal bar to bent.

This is an updated replacement of the same dryer we had in the past. While we have only had it for 2 weeks, it seems to be more sensitive in the 'sensor' feature. Our former dryer lasted for 9 years- probably would have gone longer, had we not constantly stuffed it to the brim!
I would recommend this to a friend!
