Well it looks the same, but doesn't compare to the other 2 GE dryers I've had over the years. Does not get as hot, thus dry time takes longer. The "Timer/Dry Cycle" knob is VERY difficult to turn. It's tight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great dryer for the price. Love that it's big enough to dry comforters and towels. It also has a buzzer to let you know when the cycle is complete. The dryer is quiet and love the size. It fits well into a small space

LOVE THIS GE DRYER!

I love this GE dryer! I've Love how fast it dries clothes without wrinkles, love the swing out door.To far to reach with the drop down (Hamper Door) so many other brands make.Door can also be reversed if needed. Push the basket underneath and load it up! I also have the matching Washer, which is fantastic! I love this set together and the curves and size. Just Awesome! Not to mention Quiet!

GE Old Style Front Loading Dryer

I’m a GE loyalist when it comes to Laundry products… my last dryer gave me 22 yrs of superb service. In all that time, it broke down once. I’m hoping for the same from this new dryer.
