My Samsung dryer bit the dust after only having it a year so I ended up going with the GE! It is much quieter and gets my clothes dryer a lot faster.

Needs a few improvements

I am generally happy with the dryer, but there are a few things that could be improved.
1. The selector knob is *incredibly* difficult to turn. What is the purpose for that? My old GE dryer's knob spun easily. This knob doesn't stop precisely where I want it to. It would be nice to have an indicator that could be felt (like the old dryer did.)
2. The dryer door needs to be slammed *hard* to shut. It doesn't feel solid and I feel like it won't hold up... Hopefully I'm wrong.
3. The lint filter needs to be jostled every time to fit into its slot. Why can't it just slide in easily?
The dryer does its job well. The sensors work as they should and my clothes dry quite fast and well.
Wish I could have afforded a higher-priced model, but...
