I do a lot laundry and this dryer is ideal for getting large loads of wash dried.

I haven't even had them a full year and they both went out I can't figure out what is wrong I'm very upset though!

I have not had the dryer for long, only about a month, it seems to work okay, takes a little longer to dry clothes than my previous model. I also had somewhat of an issue as after owning the dryer for about a week something went wrong. The regular cycles would never end, I had to manually shut off the dryer to get it to stop, fortunately GE has sent someone to repair the dryer. The repair tech has ordered a new timer or the unit and I am currently waiting for the new timer to arrive, the tech seemed relatively confident that the timer is the only issue, but we won't know for sure until the timer is replaced. At any rate, I am somewhat disappointed with the unit as it is quite noisy and no brand new appliance should be needing any sort of repair after only 1 week and maybe 5 cycles of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
