After 20 years with my older "GE" washer and dryer it was time to update. It went with 'GE" because it has always been trusted to be dependable for me. I love my new dryer and washer set and all the features. I was able to donate my old GE washer and dryer to a family and it's working.

Loving this dryer! My last dryer didn't have a buzzer on it. This time, I made sure that the machine has a buzzer. Scared the cats the first time it went off.

Stay away from GE

Purchased in May 2016 & have had several occasions when drawstrings get caught in the plastic framework that connects the drum with the front of the dryer just inside the opening. Horrific grinding sound. Open door to find other items have become tangled around the drawstring item. Dangerous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased dryer in May 2016, the plastic framework that connects the door opening & the drum has an area that drawstrings get stuck in. Dryer makes a terrible grinding sound. Other clothes get tangled around drawstring that is stuck in plastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good

It is running quicker and clothes are in good shape. Old dryer was not any where close to this. Only problem I had was hooking up vent. Back seems much bigger getting way of exhaust hose.
I would recommend this to a friend!
