This dryer was great while it lasted. but it only lasted 1.5 years. Not happy with the facts it stopped working so soon.

The dryer takes forever to dry clothes. This is not a good heating system

We want to help you with your dryer taking too long to dry your items. We recommend matching the control settings to the load you are drying and cleaning the lint filter before each load by moistening your fingers and reaching into the filter opening while running your fingers across the filter. You can find more information in the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058
If the issue persists after troubleshooting, we recommend reaching out to our Bodewell service team at 1-833-426-3393 to schedule an appointment.

Nice capacity and it drys quickly but sometimes the clothes come wrinkled and sheets get all knotted up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to assist with your laundry being tangled and wrinkled. Tangled, twisted or knotted clothes are usually the result of wash loads that were not properly sorted. You'll want to avoid mixing heavier weight items with lighter weight items. You can find additional information to help prevent your laundry from becoming knotted: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17342. We recommend using fabric softener with your cycle to minimize wrinkling in your clothes. Great value

It is a clothes dryer, NOT a new sports car. It does what it is support to do - DRY CLOTHES, not whistling Dixie while searching the internet! We didn't want all the expensive features that break down - just dry the clothes completely. IT DOES IT WELL. Our G.E. washer we bought several years ago has functioned flawlessly without all the fancy, unnecessary electronic gimmicks. G.E. - focus on building well made long lasting equipment and you will never go out of business.

We are so happy that you are enjoying your new dryer and its ease of use. We really think you'll enjoy the Extended Tumble feature this dryer offers. This feature tumbles clothes without heat to help prevent creasing and wrinkling. We are confident this dryer will continue to serve you for years to come.

Put it together completely

I know it's been a year since we bought our new home. My wife normally does the laundry, but she's not here currently. So to stay on top of things I decided to take care of some for her. When I heard the washer stop I knew it was time to load the dryer. When I did I realized there was a screw missing. Originally it was covered by a sticker. It held the lint trap in place. Then I noticed the clip for the door was sorta screwd in. I'd recommend some quality control. Not sure what may happen. So far so good I guess. I'd attach pics but this doesn't seem to want to let me. What a shame.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
