AS FOR DRYING, IT DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. i WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT FIVE STARS, BUT THE MAIN SELECTOR KN0B IS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN, ESPECIALLY FOR OLDER FOLKS, LIKE MY 95 YEAR OLD SELF.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Machine!

I previously owned very expensive frontload machine that lasted only 6 years before started putting burn marks on clothes. This is after replacing thermostat, etc. Decided to go back to top load machine. I researched and read reviews. I love my new GE dryer! My clothes, sheets, etc. come out dry, not wrinkled. I've used all cycles and temps and get the same great results! Not sure about negative reviews, maybe choices of temps/cycles chosen not appropriate for fabrics? I'm a 57 year old female and have been washing/drying since 13 yrs. old so I've done a lot of laundry! You won't be disappointed with your purchase! I bought model GTD45EASJWS and for a great price!

I have had my product for less than a week and so far I really love it my clothes actually feel better. It has many useful yet user friendly settings. Love the size. It can handle large loads. Drys well.

Great Affordable Purchase

Love this dryer with it's vent on the inside instead of top. Also love that it seems compact in size. The only concern is that I have not found a HOT- HOT setting and that the knob is a little hard for me to turn as it is not like the 'old-pull-turn-push' to start. Certainly I'm hoping it will last longer than my past dryer with all it's 'digital control board issues'.
