Not as thrilled with Note5 as GallaxyS5

I waited a long time to get a Note mobile device and have owned the Galaxy S3 & S5 for past several years. I loved them both, but really loved the Galaxy S5. I have bad eye site and stiffness in finger joints, so I was really excited to get a slightly larger screen and layout. The ability to use the S-pen was very tantalizing, which really was a big selling decision. Many other friends highly recommended this also. But my problem is with the newer version of apps such as the Google Calendar that came with it compared to the version on the S5. I use the calendar a lot, so this little defect in the way it responds is not the same. Then, we have the inability to increase memory with the SD card, which is a pain since I take a lot of pictures and have a lot on my storage. Most of all, I guess I'm just disappointed in the tutorials. Maybe if the tutorials were decent, I'd figure some ways around these shortcomings. Even the camera settings aren't similar to the last several and to me, are not user friendly. Overall, I enjoy the larger screen and ability to use the S-pen to handwrite on the screen, but I still love my old S5 and haven't passed it on to my husband yet, since he's still working off his old S3 for now.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, size of screen, camera takes great photos
Cons: Did not meet expectations, stock apps aren't as nice as older galaxy s5's, no external memory card slot
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love it

I love it. Although I am disappointed that it has no removable battery. And you should never let the battery get under 5%. I have realized that once it dies, car chargers won't revive or charge the phone. Only a wall mounted charger will at that point. Until you get it above 10%, then you can use a car charger again. Other then that I love it.
Pros: Bright display, very useful for everyday interaction
Cons: no remove able battery or sd card
I would recommend this to a friend!

Recommend only after warning them

Too many missing features. The side tray for multi window and the little mini customizable sidebar are gone. I loved the multi window pullout tray that I could add my favorite apps to and make my own 2 apps that would open up and the little sidebar where you could tap options, apps, recents, or go back was awesome. I not worth losing them I'd go back to note 4 if I could. Sure it's beautiful and about time they got the GalaxyS Design, but not at the cost of these major features. Which was not warned or informed beforehandbeforehand.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, galaxy s design, s pen menu, wireless charging
Cons: lost multi window side tray, lost mini customizable side tray, unable to upgrade storage
I would recommend this to a friend!

There's a lot of new things to get used to with the Note 5 when you upgrade from the Note 3. But the biggest quality I look for in a phone is the pictures and how good they look. This phone is blowing them out the water. I'm just so amazed at the quality. Also fast charge is something new and I really enjoy it. The phones battery lasts well.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, picture quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

As of this review, I have not used the device to its full potential. So far, I am very impressed with this device. I have previously owned a Note 3 and the feel and look of the Note 5 compared to the 3 is far nicer. The 5 also doesn't feel as bulky as the 3 and fits better in pant pockets. The screen size is great for watching video which is one of the reasons I went back to a Galaxy Note product (my 3 previous phones were an S5, S4 and the Note 3). I went with the 64GB model and so far has been more than enough space for me even with installing a new app or two a week.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, screen size
I would recommend this to a friend!
